shojo, because if its a good one, it keeps me smiling and awwing the whole time.
Josei is better for drama, but i need my fluff.
Josei, since Shoujo just doesn't
have anything for me. The gender roles...
Ugh.

Though most of my favorites are shoujo, the BEST of my favorites are josei. I've read tons of shoujo, but only a few ones are really worth the time, while there are lesser josei out there, most are really good, or probably I'm just lucky reading the good ones.

Josei...because is more realistic and mature than Shoujo.

The only manga i like and it's just amazing is Kimi wa Pet, lol it's just it. It's josei and the only josei manga i've read.
But then i have to go with Shoujo. It's just my type of thing.hehe=D

Both? Hehehe~ I read more Shoujo, however, some of my top mangas are Josei or Seinen...

I like Josei more but like many others have said it is much harder to find Josei manga then Shoujo manga. Josei usually is much more mature and has more depth while shoujo uses a lot of Cliche and is much more predictable, but there are still very good shoujos out there.

As much as I like Josei because of the better plot lines and development and whatnot, I tend to read more shoujo just because it's so light and bubbly! (yeah and completely ridiculous, cliched, and predictable but sometimes it's nice) 😃

As much as I love reading light hearted, fluffy and bubbly shoujo (Ah, Tsukuba Sakura and all your mangas <3), I still end voting for josei...
I'm always looking at all the releases I can find of Comic Zero-Sum being without a doubt my favorite pre-publication magazine, and somehow while reading josei you can't feel this "too girly" atmosphere that is sometime tiring (though, it can be to the point that I sometimes wonder how josei should appeal to older women but well...)

I've been preferring josei lately, simply because it's more mature and I got tired of the female main characters in shoujo.

This. But I didn't get tired of them, I really never liked it from the beginning.
Josei definitely! It has better and more varied storylines and the art is usually nicer in my opinion.

I know I answered this thread before, but my opinions have changed since. Josei manga is just more fulfilling for me than shoujo (with only a few exceptions).
