First anime I watched was Gundam Wing and DBZ on Cartooon Network. They used to have about 3-4 hours of them in the early morning, was great.

First manga was Ichigo 100% or Naruto. Watched both of the animes and when it came to the end and fillers, I went looking for the continuation of there respective story lines and came across the manga. Was hooked on manga after that, I was always much more interested in the storyline than animation/art. Manga always allowed for a much faster consumption and more detailed story. I rarely watch anime now... only ones that don't have a manga counterpart.

I usualy just read the manga too. Anime has a tendency to spend 10 minutes giving intricate explanations as to dumbassA got behind dumbassB and slapped him in the back head. Meanwile im staring in awww at dumbassB's patience while thinking the fuck are you doning hes distracted hit him in face lol.

Well im exausted so ill keep this short, I know im a bastard i wear it around like a fucking metal man and ill further prove what a bastard i am by saying this, the word your looking for is cynic there is no such thing as a cynisist though i think that would make a good supervillian name for a classic marvel comic lol.

I'm about to admit how old I am.

Speed Racer and Voltron the old butchered versions. I found it switching the channel from Sesame Street. I know I'm forgetting some that my brother and I used to watch and Hanna and Barbara don't count.

Manga...came later right around the big invasion with Sailor Moon but I didn't pick it up until Inu Yasha.

I guess I was about 5-8 years old.

It was sailormoon. I loved chibimoon. Who could not love those pretty pink pigtails?! I had figurines, costumes everything! They were quite the hype here.

Probably about 4 for anime, I watched Gigantor (Tetsujin 28),
Ultraman II and The Warriors of the Wind (badly edited/translated version of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind).

As for Manga about 11, it was Ironfist Chinmi.

I think it was 2 years old, don't remember... I was born in Japan, so I think the first anime I watched was sailor moon or dragon ball xD

My first manga was about 5 years old, it was shonen jump.

I discovered manga when I was 13-14 years old, and that's when I began to know that the cartoons I used to watch since like forever were anime.
I grew up watching DBZ and Sailormoon, Saint Seiya, ranma 1/2, and others...XD
And as for manga, I only got into them because they were on sale and some covers grabbed my attention. XD

Anime was waaaay too early for me. Haha, probably when I was 6. But for manga, I guess I started going gaga over it just five years ago sooo when I was 11. 😀

I began by watching the english dubbed Sailor Moon around 6 or 7, then my neighbors (anime fans) exposed me to the totally unedited, Japanese fan-subbed Sailor Moon Star series. xD I didn't get any of it, but I still watched it obsessively.

Then Sailor Moon stopped airing on T.V. for a while, and I lost anime for a couple of (very sad, depressing years in which I attempted to draw anime but just couldn't) years until Inuyasha began airing on Adult Swim. :3

My first manga was also Sailor Moon, the pocket manga mixx books.

Well, my first anime was definitely before I started school. I think around 3. I'm pretty sure it was Akira when it came on late at night once. I was watching with my brothers, they loved it, but I couldn't understand it at all.
Lupin III:Castle of Cagliostero(?) came on around that time too. I understood that and enjoyed it a great deal.
I'm pretty sure Sailor Moon came on TV in the mornings around those years too, but I didn't like it. (I'm 16 in Australia, NSW, for those who can do the math for me if they remember)
I have clearer memories of Pokemon followed by DBZ, though.

My first manga...My brothers would borrow Chinmi from the library when I was in kindergarten (5 years old), but I wasn't interested. At about 8 my brother showed me scanlations of naruto, followed by One Piece and Bleach. Nice! (at the time)

8-10 years old. Cardcaptor Sakura and Sailor Moon were my loves at that time. After that came Fushigi Yuugi 😀 Though with FY, I didn't exactly understand what the hell it was that was going on. All I knew was that even at that age, I was fangirling all over the pretty boys in that anime. The romantic moments only made my fangirling worse. 🤣

Obviously it was Sailor Moon/Pokemon, but what I actually first discovered to be anime was probably coughcough Love Hina. cough

When I was seven/eight-ish. ... roflroflrofl.
My brother I watched the whole series... the specials... and the OVA.

As for my first manga, it was probably something from my brother's May 2005 issue of Shonen Jump (I believe he wanted the duel pass -.-"). It could have been any of the series released in that issue.
