Yes, I know there's other threads similar to this. Too bad. This is the site poll thread

So what non-manga stuff you read? Perhaps it's predominately manhwa or manhua? Or none at all? Or there's some other stuff, like newspaper comics or the American stuff (Batman anyone?). Or even stuff in your native language?

Question: Do you read any other comics / graphic novels outside of manga?
Choices:
Manhwa and manhua... - votes: 5403 (45.2%)
Some strips in the funny pages (newspaper) or web comics - votes: 1613 (13.5%)
The American stuff - votes: 516 (4.3%)
Yes I love them all - votes: 2785 (23.3%)
Only pure manga for me - votes: 1644 (13.7%)
There were 11961 total votes.
The poll ended: November 28th 2009

Comic related?

Hmm, besides manhwa & manhua, not really.
I would read the occasional random web-comic that was sent to me, or some silly newspaper shorts.
I don't follow anythign in particular, so it's mainly manga for me.

So for me, it's probably the first and second choices.
I don't read much of either though...

Manga has taken over my comic reading habits. 😲

Mostly manga, but also manhwa & I have nothing against manhua but I'm not sure I've read one or not; I also read the comics in the daily newspaper but don't seek them out elsewhere. Oh and Sinfest, the one webcomic I read~

I voted the first option, but really it's the first plus the second. 😐

Yes, I read manhwa and comics/graphic novels (Dark Avengers anyone?)

My friend is a big fan of comics as well, so I borrow a lot of his things. I love all that superhero stuff.

I guess you could count the stuff in the newspapers as well. Garfield is the bomb.

So I voted for "I love them all", seeing as I read pretty much everything and don't stick to one type of comic.

I like my manhwas.

But I recently got into Fables, it's pretty good I must say.
And well, I've read Archie too~

I voted for manhwa and manhua, though my answer is actually both one and two. I definitely read more manhwa than manhua though, but manga most of all.

I've read newspaper comics before... mainly Calvin and Hobbes in those compilation books. And as a kid I read those Asterix comics in English, and have lately read a few in French as well.

For me, webcomics aren't that interesting, but I've read a few on recommendations from friends. Don't follow any though.

OEL manga... not really for me, though not for lack of trying >_>

Gosh, I'm really surprised not many people read American graphic novels. After manga, I probably read western comics the most.

I am a huge fan of western authors and artists, including Harvey Pekar, Robert Crumb, Neil Gaiman and Jeff Smith. There are so many good graphic novels, they don't just have to be the superhero stuff. Memoir and biographical comics are some of my favorite.

I wonder what a comic such as Persepolis would be considered as? Western (since it was written in French), or Mideastern (since it was written by an Iranian)...

I read some newspaper comics and webcomics too, but sometimes I forget to keep up with them.

Manhwa and Manhua. I sorta don't like American stuff, although I like comic strips, they're stress relieving at times. =3
