what was the last manga you stopped reading, and why?

I don't really drop anything; I just de-prioritize it. I guess I figure I'll finish everything eventually. (And I usually do.) I do tend to get very bored with shounen and shoujo manga that just won't end, whether it's the infinite fight or the infinite (ridiculous) angst.

I'll come up with a specific example later.

Tenjou Tenge and Air gear. I don't need to give a reason 🤣 It was long time ago though, I don't really drop manga.

Ashita no Yoichi....it ain't bring anything new to the table for me, and I'm not really a fan of harems either so it wasn't really workin
For me all in all, only started it cuzz it said it was a "martial arts" manga but it was too shallow to even be labled that IMO

I couldn't be bothered to re-read the shizz again to get it. I didn't like it much the first time, hence I why I dropped it 🤣

I haven't technically dropped any yet, though I've put some on hold until I can bring myself to be more masochistic:

Kaikan Phrase - I just can't take Aine's naivety anymore right now.
Koukou Debut - I can see the cliche "worried about the ex-girlfriend" arc coming, and I'm just not in the mood to read it, yet again.

I've noticed I've become decidedly pickier about shoujo stories in the last 3 months.

If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.

I dropped it because the main character is a wimp and gets himself always beaten up and he always is saved by his girlfriend in the end.

The only mangas that I've dropped are because the story went weird. Angel Sanctuary after about 30 chapters and Air Gear after Ringo attacked that girl.

I stopped reading it after getting bored with the Pointless Indian prince/curry cook-off arc.
