You know, for a group of introverts, luisalirio84 and SirGir, this is a surprisingly open conversation xD...

I'd like to join your group too actually =o. 19, hit 19 this April, had one girlfriend around 7 years ago, only one.

I consider myself largely Hikkikomori, despite not being a NEET xD.

I'd like to find a girlfriend who's an Otaku too actually, just because she'll know what im talkin about and won't look at me weirdly when i suddenly swear in japanese lmao.

That's the thing silnet. Mild mannered introvert by day, able to construct complex arguments and do verbal battle with the best by night. Seriously though you me and gir are all 19 and introverts we should start a club(what is with me and clubs - I guess I'm jealous of the asian school system with their wide variety of club activities) Ahh that hikkikomori and neet explanation sums it up. For those who have no clue hikkikomori is like a person who chooses to withdraw themself from society and a neet is young person who has no job or doesn't go to school(in other words contributes nothing to society)

Amen to the otaku gf brother. I just won't settle for less. How bout u gir? 🤣

BTW SiLNet I always like your avatar. Where's it from?

Clubs are all well and dandy (I'm in an Anime club right now) but I'm NOT joining the "Luisalirio Presents the Narutotard Club". "Luisarlirio Presents the Hikkikomori Social" is fine, but calling myself a Narutotard would be lying.

Amen to the otaku gf brother. I just won't settle for less. How bout u gir? 🤣 Well, I wouldn't accept a girlfriend who was against anime/manga. Open-mindedness is important in my book... Then again, I think of a biography I read about Bruce Campbell (my favorite actor), and how his first wife was really just the first girl he could find who'd date him, and I think, "How strong are my standards?"

Those are gay club names the club would have a cooler name. I don't think i'm a narutard either since I don't obsess about it like it was a drug. I'm more into one piece right now. The whole narutard thing war a one time joke. Wait who did I get that pic from again was it you gir? Exactly his first wife they got divorced right? You have to be picky about the person you are gonna spend the rest of your life with ne? "Hikkikomori International- introverts from around the world" does that sound better. 😮

Ouch, harsh. I wasn't being serious. That's just how your joke poster read. I can't remember what it said but it felt like some sort of Willy Wonka creation, thus the corny, self-promoting name.

Your club name is so politically correct...Couldn't we stuff a German word in there somewhere or something? (At least I think German is a delightfully evil-sounding language)

in my opinion, introverts aren't very good with words, so they don't social much outside, but more on the net, etc, where the opposite person can't see their appearance, visa versa....i think that'd includes me, too, since i spent most of my time on the computer....i don't think love on the net is a good idea, mainly 'cause the same person who appears to be so charming and witty on the internet can be much duller and less appealing in real life...chatting over the net gives you time to think before you type, but socializing is just like saying something that sprints into your mind....i, for an instance, find myself to chat with my normal friends easier online than in real life, probably because i don't have the pressure of having to think of interesting stuff to talk about, or to try to be funny....anyhow, since this forum is mainly for discussing manga and so forth, even if you find someone compatible to you, someone you can talk manga-wise stuff to, they might not appear to be that awesome in real life, which leads to disappointment/ embarrassment, etc....that's why i also don't trust online dating much (not that i'm veyr experienced in this stuff)....well, since i'm a pretty negative person towards relationships and stuff (despise reading a bunch of shoujo manga), i prefer not trying to get a bf 😀

How about something simple-like, to the point, and all-encompassing of what Hikkikomori stands for, like:
"Leave us alone" club =)

As for the girlfriend, i actually have some surprisingly high standards asides from just being Otaku too tho, most, if not all, of which are personality-wise. But i have to admit, at times my thoughts also follow something similar to yours Gir, maybe my standards were set too high?

For instant messaging and online games thought you can tell more about a person's real character. But then again, i don't mind the shy type, in fact, i adore them =), so i don't think internet relations are too bad.

But lets just say you're introvert too, wanna join the club? =)

It'll be a club for people who hates clubs more or less ^^

personally, being introverted, im not really "bad with words"(atleast not horrible) i just find alot of people to not really be interesting enough to seek out socially

@silnet- loved how you described the club, makes me wanna reread catch 22

yes, 9 years old lost virgin is....wrong..

I like the "leave us alone" club. It's originalish We should have a website with our own introverted forums and chat room. Whatever happened to chat rooms have they died out? 🙂
