I'm looking for a manga I read a few years ago. There was this normal shoujo heroine, pure, dull, average, who meets the hot transfer student who confesses to her. Turns out he'd confessed to her a few years before, but he was geeky and plain and she was in love with someone else so she basically ignored him. So he decides to seduce her, play with her and then dump her (I remember a smuttier scene) BUUT the heroine is starting to really fall for him, and not just for his looks (I remember a scene where she notices that he's really hardworking, when he stays after school doing stuff).

At least part of your description sounds like Masamune-kun no Revenge.....but I also put that one on hold quite some time back after only reading a certain portion of it, so that might be more like, very broad impressions too 😀
