I will say this staight out. I love yaoi(BL) mangas and animes. I watch them all the time. I don't go "ewww" seeing two guys or girls kiss. But I don't want to see the real the thing(sex) in reality, i'm I crazy? or is it the fanasty value that I like, because I like and watch Shoujo too.

I dont mind Yaoi (im a guy) it dosnt really bother me at all. But gay porn, i cant watch.

In yaoi the guys can be as pretty as you want, and physics (for the hair and whatnot), anatomy (for the pretty face and ahem), and availability, because yaoi is everywhere while gay porn is more rare and specifically aimed at males, unlike yaoi.

It's just the prettiness factor after all. Finding actors as good-looking as bishies in yaoi is difficult (but comparing a drawing on paper to a real-life male is useless so...you got the idea 🙂 ). And plus those actors leave the impression that they're not really gay and are struggling to do it just for the money, and that makes me a bit uncomfortable.

I think they do it cause they like it and they want to use their youth and appearance as an advantage while they are young.

well i dont watch porn (and gay porn), but ive seen lots of gay couples kissing and making out and i was okay with it (didnt disgust me or anything).
And that was before i began reading yaoi (btw im huge yaoi fangirl!!!).

In the mangas, the guys are always just so perfect looking, and that is very uncommon in real "gay porn", and, in the mangas, you get the whole love effect to, getting to read the whole story, so I think that makes a lot of difference.
It's pretty great when i see cute guys just kiss IRL though 😀

I actually enjoy both but this is a very good point, agreed 🙂

For me it's just that when I'm reading a story, I can pretend the characters are "real" and think "aww, what a nice relationship." In real life, it's the same thing, so when I see my gay friends smooch or making out I'm happy for them.

No matter how good or "realistic" the acting is, (and this applies to all coupling; gay, straight, aliens, whatever, etc.) seeing physical affection on the screen always feels artificial to me and I get very put off. A little smooch and implied physicality is fine, but yeah, on screen activity is annoying.
