my local brewery closed just as i started drinking beer 😢 🙁
i didn't know it then...but that day was the saddest day in my life...

they sold it to a bigger one that just took machinery and closed it...but there's one not so far away (and it's a better one)

Straight, or mixed with Coke. Never mixed with inferior colas. It ruins the drink.

And when mixed, done nice and stiff. At least a quarter of the glass should be filled with liquor, at the bare minimum. None of this silly 1 part rum, five parts cola. That just makes the coke taste bad, and doesn't really taste like much of a drink, 'cause you're hardly getting any of the rum's flavour. Further, do you know how many of those it'd take to get me drunk? I'd have to have at least a dozen of the damn things.

Hell, half and half's the way to go. And no ice. That's for sissies.

Watering down your drinks... grumble grumble

Beyond my rum rant, I also enjoy a few beer here and there, and don't mind rye and Coke either. Wine's always good(red, of course), but only if you're at a restaurant, or at home. You need a proper glass, and no cheap stuff, thanks. A gin and tonic's solid too.

No vodka though, that stuff's swill. And tequila? Seriously? Just because it's liquor, doesn't mean it should taste like sewage. Please people, have better taste. Liquers are okay, I guess, but that stuff's not for me.

But really, a bottle of rum, please. That's all I need.

The good thing about Jungle Juice is that you really can't taste the alcohol, and you end drinking more, and you get plastered quicker than you thought you would, and everyone ends up having a good time. I have yet to see someone pass out off of that stuff too.

One of the craziest drinkers I know is one of my friends-who-is-a-girl. Chugs tequila straight from the bottle.

Favorite drink I can get state side would be vodka. Most of my friends hate clear alchy, but it's the first drink I had and I've loved it since. Love whiskey as well - jack and coke is the ultimate poor man's drink.

I love Absinthe when I can get it. The whole hallucinations thing is a myth. When done right (ie poured over a spoon with a cube of suger, lit on fire, trap the fumes with another glass, and suck the fumes in before drinking) it tastes fantastic and hits like nothing else I've ever experienced.

Edit: Can't believe I forgot soju. The Korean man's drink. It's great, although again, most of my friends despise it.

I'm a whiskey girl. That's my drink of choice, but I also like vodka and beer. Crown Royal is like liquid candy to me and I will drink it straight... out of the bottle. Vodka wise, it's Belvedere or Skyy. And as for beer, anything Budweiser. Though sadly, I am an extreme lightweight... doesn't take much to get drunk. 🤢
