Well, I feel bad for your experiences, but consider the farmer, who raises the cattle and slaughters them so he and his family can eat. Or the truck driver, who transports the beef from the farm to the store. Or the butcher, who cuts the meat for the people to buy it.

Remove the cattle industry, none of them have jobs.

Not only that, it's part of certain cultures to consume meat, whether or not you deem it environmentally sound.

And do not forget the fact that we breed millions upon millions upon millions of head of cattle. They are not in any danger of a cataclysmic shift in population any time soon.

And for the record, I would have no qualms killing my own meat for my own consumption.

I like them. I think they are cute. 🙂 I am a vegetarian though, so I dont eat them. Never liked that kind of food anyway. well, mostly. I do love tacos...i miss tacos. with beef. obviously. I think I am using too many periods in this post...

I am not suggesting to remove the cattle industry. I am suggesting that people should eat less meat. A regular person would only need about the amount of meat the size of a fist for our daily protein consumption. Humans consume more meat than needed and that is not good for the animals. 🙁

but i prefer pork and until i try some lions the pig is king of animals in my book.

IMHO.... Cattle contribute more to global warming than the motor industry.

As for beef.... it's ok.... but I prefer white meat like chicken or seafood. Beef slows down my lap times.

I like cattle since it is very important to our society.
Meat is necessary to our body and so are the animals that
provide it. You might live with just some carrots and tofu,
but your body does require meat.
I do not feel any guilty about the slaughtering, since
the world out there in the woods is way more atrocious.
I like meat and I like cows. I think they look cute.
