So, I'm wondering what everyone opinions are for the best gaming laptops. You can either say your favorite brand for gaming laptops, your favorite series of laptops for gaming, or your favorite specific laptop.
Preferably under 1,200 USD.
If you couldn't tell, this was inspired by the fact I'm in the market for a laptop, and I want one that can play games pretty well. 😀

All I can say is - go get a custom machine. My personal favourite is Alienware. They work with Dell and are prob, the best you can find 🙂

I wouldn't really say "the best".
They're pretty overpriced.

i think he was looking for something not over 4000$ Lol (exageratting ^^)
i have a dell XPS 15 that i got for 900$ (with tax too)
mine was a special one with 6 GB ram, Nvidia GeForce 525M (with Optimus) 1GB Graphics Memory Dedicated. it has integrated video memory too from an intel graphics card but we all know integrated graphics is garbage ^^
second generation i5 Processor. two cores, 2.3 GHz turbo boosts up to 2.9 GHZ
most of the stuff is from sandy bridges so they are quite durable Lol i like it alot 🙂 it runs L4D2 well Xd
and sc2 at max settings like a dream 🙂
Well even my Acer Aspire 5738ZG can run SC2 at max so I guess its not a big deal lol
And AlienWare are indeed a lil' overpriced but notice that its custom machines that we're talkin' about here 🙂

I actually ordered a laptop not too long ago because my old one broke down. After some research I found that Alienware was the best. Sure it's a bit overpriced but there custom made and there worth the money. They also have probably the best appearance I've ever seen in a laptop. Like I said there a bit overpriced but you can get an 8% (I think) Discount if your company uses or used Alienware computers. Also the best Alienware laptop is by far the new M17x-R3 which comes with 3D and all. You can only save up too 375$-(May be wrong but you can save something in the 300$'s) excluding the 8% discount because they have a discount atm.

If you are looking for a good laptop with a low price you can check aut ASUS G series like G73SW, G73JW. I use G73SW and I can play all the games with High setting without any lag or freezing.(High FPS) And the price is not too much.

Alienware laptops are designed for gamers in mind. Overpriced though, but definitely made for gamers.

Alienware is indeed overpriced. They indeed are awesome looking, but I don't know if I'd like to pay THAT much. I might end up buying one though...
They don't have to be custom, guys. Just what you've found works the best.
So, aside from Alienware, it seems like Sager and Acer?
More details/suggestions are appreciated. 😀

No, avoid Acer.
I've only heard bad things about them as of late.
Asus has a few builds which are on par or even better to some alienware builds at a cheaper price (and still look pretty sweet), maybe check them out as well?
I'd go for Asus...though I've seen some from MSI that are good too...

origin pc is a brand you could ponder. The cheapest laptop rig is like 1.6 K though! D: The guys behind origin pc were actually behind Alienware as well. They left Alienware when it got chomped up by Dell, apparently.
Digital Storm has a $889 laptop, with some more choices...
Maingear has some gaming laptops as well, they have a 13.3" for like $1091.00
Asus' Republic of Gamers line is pretty well known, and my brother has one of their older models. It works pretty well for him.
Asus' G73 (I think) looks so freakin' awesome, in my humble opinion. There's a $950 used G73 (older model, I think? Even then, it's not that old...came out late 2010!) on Amazon, right now.
So...Asus ROG, I guess?

If you want a gaming laptop - and if you live in the US, as the customer sevice is just wierd evrywhere else - go for Dell. You can go to their site and ue the very handy search tool they provide, where you select the specific features you want in your laptop, then you select the lapotp, and again customise it!
Personal recommendation - with your budget in mind, Dell XPS 15.
There are times when you will miss what you never had. I wonder how you will find what you so desperately need.
