Binbou Kami ga! Gets Anime
The January issue of Shueisha's Jump Square Lab magazine is announcing on Saturday that an anime adaptation of Yoshiaki Sukeno's Binbō-gami ga! comedy manga has been green-lit. The story revolves around Ichiko Sakura, a girl whose blissful life comes from her bountiful "happiness energy" — gained by sapping that energy from other people. To restore the balance, the Binbō-gami (Poverty God) Momiji Binbada attempts to eliminate her.
The manga began in the main Jump Square magazine in 2008, and the 11th compiled book volume is shipping this month.

The Japanese publisher Shueisha has revealed that the television anime adaptation of Yoshiaki Sukeno's Binbō-gami ga! comedy manga will begin airing this summer.
