I send this as official news, but I guess those MangaUpdate guys are more interested in mangaka having carpital syndrom than posting really news. That's why I decided to make my own topic, because this affects quite a lot of scanlation groups and manga readers out there:
Bad news for all of you! One of Manga Underground’s server is down and with it our board jCafe24.com. We were able to host our board thanks to gh0st from vnmanga.com and Devin from Strays. Thanks for a lot for your support in all those months! You guys are great!
jCafe24 members will be delighted to hear that all your posts, images and raws are sound and save. They were stored in a daily backup and were transfered to a save place. Right now I’m in my exams, but I will keep you up to date about our current board status on our homepage on
Until I find a new server with Ruby 1.8.6 (+ Rails) the site stays offline. If you want to help us to find a new server please use our contact form here:

Thank you for reporting to everyone about this but I really think that insulting the MU staff is unnecessary. I'm sure they work hard to keep an extent of awareness but they aren't omnipotent. Good luck to you.

Well, another mystery solved. I was having trouble with another site as well so I thought my PC has virus or something. Thanks for the heads-up!

Well thanks for the news (though i don't really use jcafe.)
But the MU staff do their best to make updates, I'm sure they are more preoccupied with making the site better and updating the database than actively looking around for news, but I'm sure that it was just overlooked.

Our policy at MU is to not openly support any download sites (raws, scanlations, etc), which is why your news submission was not approved
