Hello everybody^^

I just wanted to start a really weird topic about something that once happend to me.

Once i found my family in a book. it may sound weird but it is true.
It was a very old book and i loved it.
i was 13 years old when i read it for the very first time..

It was about a blind girl that lived in a place where my family used to live that was also only 10 kilometres from where i lived at the moment.

The girl had the same last name as the one of my family.
It was the most tragic story i had ever read, but also the most beautyfull one.
in the end she got her eyesight back and also the love of her life.

I got this book as a present from my grandma.

coincidence or not.. i do not know

(my last name is a quite rare name.. a noble name)

but anyhow has anyone else ever experienced such a thing?

Do you mean have the names of people from my family ever appeared in books or that some book character may have been one of the ancestors of my family? If it's the former, then yes. If it's the latter, then I can't be sure because most chinese last names are very common and widely used (with special exceptions), so almost everybody with the same last name can be traced to the same family if you trace far enough, but it might not be the that sort of "family."

well im not 100% sure if its an ancestor of mine..

but its the town my family used to live since a long time ago and my name is anything but common.

lets just say that once people mistook us for royalty because of our name.. well they were not completly mistaken.
we do have blue blood even though its fallen.

But I swam in the same river as the protoganist of the story..
the same name.. the same place.. it was to much of a coincidence to let it go by unnoticed.

I really think that it must have somehow been hased on my family or written by a familymember of mine under a different penname..

weirdly enough my grandma says its nothing..
she never wishes to talk about it

Therefor i think that this story must have had something to do with my greatgrandmother (she is banned from the family and not to be spoken to or about)

My name has appeared in some manga, and I have seen monkeys in manga, but that's as close as it gets. ._.

I saw some artists who use my first name as their pen name and my name in various books...
and one character in a book who reminded me of my father 'cause he had a similar personality.

the only manga i read that had a character called sarah is angel sanctuary but her personality is the total opposite of mine so.. 😛

Partially and it was kinda creepy.

How about a video game? One of my ancestors was apparently a big hero in China. As a general he became famous for refusing to give up some important information to the enemy and both he and his son ended up murdered as a result. There's a playstation game with a character modeled after him. And some more of my relatives may be in books....on my mother's side we have had two presidents of South Korea....but they weren't at all successful leaders so my mom avoids using her maiden name.
