Sorry bad english
I guess, everybody that likes manga already knows the "ISEKAI" nowadays is the most active genre of manga, however, not have a tag genre for this category, and I suggest that it be added in mangaupdates.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isekai
Nowadays I read only isekai manga but is not easy to find this kind on manga in mangaupdates, not have a genre tag for it and it is separated in different categories like "MMORPG", "Reincarnated as a Monster", "Reincarnated in a Game World", "Reincarnated in Another World"
For instance, "OVERLORD" is a isekai manga. it is tagged in the category "Transported to Another World"
For instance, "Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken" is a isekai manga. it is tagged in the category "Reincarnated in Another World"
For instance, "Log Horizon" is a isekai manga. it is tagged in the category "MMORPG"
For instance, "GATE" is a isekai manga. it is tagged in the category "Parallel Dimension"
In few words, If I want to see isekai manga I need to search for different keywords on mangaupdates but all those mangas are all included in the same genre "isekai"

No need, category tags already exist to cover what you're talking about (both isekai and reverse isekai, whatever the heck that is)..........and if you think some title needs to be tagged as such, well, then take care of it 🙂

Like svines85 said, Isekai already exists as a category. We will not be adding it as a genre

Some users try over and over to get isekai a valid genre, while it is per se a sub-cactegory. .This has been discussed plenty of times.
The solution is new users getting familiarized with MU tagging system.

Is there any way to exclude categories in advanced search? If there isn't I wish it was a genre because I'm really sick of isekai and I know a lot of other people feel the same. I understand your reasoning for wanting to keep it a category but for conveniences sake I wish you'd reconsider.

Put a "-" symbol in front of the category. For example, I try to avoid series with axed endings so I constantly put "**-**Rushed Ending/Axed" to filter series with that category.
