So now that it's ended, what do you think about the new ending?

I didn't think this one was going to do too well when it first started it wasn't making much sense even for school rumble. The ending was a bit of a surprise though, Harima and Eri seemed to have had a baby together so that's that (or is it?).

I think this one ended well enough despite it's rough start, though I guess it feels more like a 10 chapters long omake instead of a series. 😐

i didn't quite get that part, to me it seemed some kind of mental image. Besides Harima's final words were kinda intriguing...
Also, Yakumo's speech was kinda confusing and touching, couldn't get it completely... To me it seemed a new open ending xP

well from a french spoiler i read the thing with harima and eri who have a child it's just go out of the imaginary of Max ( the guy with scar on his face ).
Seem like just before he sai he is ready to give up Eri to harima but will kill him if he make her cry, then see them have a child ( don't ask why ).

I read an spanish scanlation, that's why i understood it that way anyways XP

I hated the ending. It started awesome. I liked the over-dramatic misunderstanding mixed with comedy. Then it got me tired of the never ending cycle of misunderstandings which not one of them were solved. I mean, all of those misunderstanding were potential material for romantic drama but none of them were used at all. And now it ends with a simple graduation and after image. A story ending without answering the important questions is crap no matter how good it started.

I thought the ending was decent, was slightly better than the original's. The original ending was kinda shit cause it was like a huge leap forward skipping the current story Harima posing as Eri's fiancee and went to Tenma and Karasuma getting married, This ending was better cause they all graduated and Tenma and Karasuma came back for it and it was kinda like a mid-between for the original ending.

So, while it might be confusing SRZ is basically stories that happened before the original ending. As it ties some things up, ImadorixIchijou(their story ended), probably the thing about the HarimaxEri fiancee arc(though it hasn't been trans to eng yet so I dk for sure), and Harima and Eri having a kid together. Also some no sense/no point stories whatsoever.

Their weren't really any misunderstandings left unsolved, unless you are referring to Harima never ever confessing to Tenma and maybe Yakumo x Harima thing, but otherwise it seemed pretty well wrapped up for a series that was losing popularity. If there were any other misunderstandings that you were referring to "banzemangs", then I dk which ones you mean as it's been awhile since I read SR.

All in all it wasn't bad. Again it's up to everyone for their own opinion on it.

I guess you can consider it as a mental image if you want. I guess similar with Yakumo, but I think that and her crying was more of just a flashback then a mental image for her as Harima was the only guy that wasn't like crazy for her(she couldn't read his mind) hence her crying at the end.

Well w/e it's done so people can think whatever they want. I am gonna stick with the Harima and Eri got married and have a kid. Regardless if it was some mental image. Seemed more like an out of place flash forward.

I will only agree that what Harima said at the end was a little weird, but again w/e who cares.

When i say "misunderstanding", i mean the HarimaXTenma comedy duo. Harima and Tenma fit very well together because of their personalities and stuff except that there was a huge misunderstanding between them since the very beginning causing them to be more apart every time. For example, the after Harima rescued Tenma, she thought he was going to do something indecent to her.

Harima never liked Eri in the first place (for those who love Harima X Eri). It was just a misunderstanding that the classmates created. For example, Harima accidentally giving his confession to Eri when it was supposed to be for Tenma. Eri was fine but her personality sometimes got to annoyed me.

Yakumo's love was also accidental because Tenma thought Harima liked Yakumo because he always asked Yakumo for help to draw manga. Yakumo was the one i wanted to end with Harima since she was the one who got to know him best by always helping him with his work.

By the way, the reason why school rumble was loosing popularity was because he never keep adding "misunderstandings" to the cycle and never ending one of them. I am sure that if started to read back and solve those "misunderstandings" one by one, people will be thrilled on trying to guess how each of the would be solved.

One example of the "misunderstanding" that was never solved and got me thrilled was when Yakumo confessed to Harima. Harima made himself a fool instead and never answered her question! OMG!

So I finally got around to finishing this...(I know, a tad late eh?)

Mixed feelings...

I haven't felt this way about an ending since Kimi ga Nozomu Eien.
I'm a Onigiri faction supporter at heart, but I'm also a harem fan xD
The scene with Harima, Eri and the baby made me glad and a little heartbroken at the same time >_<

I just don't know what to feel...

Hopefully there'll be some good fanfics out there xD (wasn't that much last I checked >=( )
