Simple discussion of episode 18. For those of you who have not seen it, be forewarned that there'll be spoilers.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
I seriously thought Suzaku was finally gonna die, we would finally don't have to deal with his stupid Euphie complex :haha: . In any case, it's so ironic, despite all his efforts to save his sister, Lelouch end up being the one to cause her death, indirectly/unintentionally almost like how he caused Euphie's death. Then again, we don't really know if Nunally is dead, seeing how this anime seem to like reviving people even though, we assume 'em to be dead. Secondly, I find that all these new knightmares are gettn out of hand. Yeah they're cool... but somehow it feels like things are going overboard. Then again, that's just me. And of course, the episode ends with something inconclusive and make me want to see the next episode now...

As I said in the speculation thread, I was really impressed with Taniguchi this episode. Actually daring to air something like this the day after the anniversary of Nagasaki's bombing is bold on quite a few levels. Overall it only serves to further prove my point that CG is intended to have a lot of real-world parallelism.

As for actual spoiler related stuff
Spoiler (highlight to view)
I'm fairly certain that Nunnally is actually dead. When a character in CG is revived (and this happened with both Mao and Orange), there's always a flaw or some crack that shows that its possible. In Orange's case it was when he was rescued by the scientists, for Mao it was that Lelouch didn't order them to kill. With Nunnally, Sayoko, Nunnally's aid, and Guilford we actually saw them consumed by the light. Conversely, the ones we can all be almost certain survived (Anya, Tamaki, etc.) we didn't see anything of the sort, even though they were clearly in a position that could be fatal. Additionally, Nunnally lost her plot armor when Lelouch's identity was discovered. Her death can be used to reconcile Lelouch and Suzaku in the very dead, and to send Lelouch directly after the Emperor so that it doesn't matter when the Black Knights ditch him next ep.

Nunnally's only possible survival routes:
-Anya saves her.
-Secret teleportation Geass.

So yeah. Unlikely. Great episode though, loved "Orange is the name of my loyalty!".

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

cool episode unpredictable like always

Spoiler (highlight to view)
I think Nunnaly is dead, because the series is going to end in few episode, they need something to change Lelouch's mentality, so far what he has done its all for Nunnaly, with her death there should be some major change in his character.

Awesome episode.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Poor Sayoko. I was really starting to like her a lot. I was glad to see Kallen back to kicking ass again. I hate Suzaku more now even if I realize it wasn't entirely his fault. I also hate Rollo more, if only because he didn't die again (he needs to die already). I'm very excited to see where it goes from here.
