It was a good ending just because Nozomi didn't get her way.

just posting to tell i'm also enjoy the ride.
will be really pleased if there is an extra story to conclude kouta-haruka.
grammar mistake is intentional, grammar nazis need their entertainment.
Sorry but that Haruka ending was moronic. I really liked the series but that was the stupidest ending I can think of. I don't know if it was just me but I blew straight past whatever suggestions there were that Haruka ever had sex with Kouta.

It was meant to be that way.
It was meant to be bad? That's an interesting approach.

It was meant to be a surprise for those who didn't pay close attention.
A final plot-device to make readers re-read the work - even if it is the final few chapters, and for any author, that's a victory for them.
You call that "bad" ? I'd like to see you think of something better. It's not something new. Many stories have done the same thing except for that they usually spoon-feed you with the answers through some flashback sequence.

I loved the series, missed the "hints" about Kouta and Haruka and did re-read the last few chapters of the series (makes sense now). I sometimes wonder if I missed anything else... and it makes me want to re-read the whole thing.

Pretty good manga. Really hope there's some kind of continuation, even just a oneshot sequel.
Mostly, the fact that Kouta's never really had any non-awful relationship left me with a really bitter taste in my mouth. He really needs a "GOOD END" with Haruka. That would change the manga from a 6/10 to a 9/10 easily.

I have to say that I loved this manga. Also I wanted to point out that the re-read of chapter 60 was a good idea for me because I didn't pay any attention to it untill after the re-read. Anywho on the chapter title page it says "A picture of a wonderful future." After seeing the o-make it became clear to me that the Kouta x Haruka ending is resolved. As Scyfon pointed out the author was very i subtle in the whole intercourse thing. But on the title page he basically resolved their future because this "picture" has her in the same hairstyle and im pretty sure sweaterish thing. So noticing that made me happy because it seems as if things work out for them in their reunion. Plus with his personality when he is reunited with her at the job and sees their son hes gonna want to marry her so they can be a family. I think anywho. My 2cents

I guess I'm part of the minority here since I thought the ending was pretty good. It was open yet heavily implied that they will be together, since they will meet each other and Kouta did say that he will probably respond to her feelings.
I would have never imagined that Haruka would stand a chance. Until like the last 5 chapters, I thought she was just like so many other characters that wouldn't be chosen, so it was definitely a surprise.
However there are other things about this series that kept it from being great. It has some weird set ups and some strange situations. There are times where the serious moments are done really well and then there are some important moments where it just seems goofy.
The characters are also a bit of a problem. Some of these characters have serious problems and they kind of gloss over it for the sake of comedy. Now that is fine at the beginning or the middle, but even towards the climax it never seems like the characters have gotten serious about it.
This is especially a problem for Chihiro. This whole problem began with him and he knew everything that was going on throughout the whole series. He could have prevented a lot of these things if not the whole thing. He was an important part of the plot and I expected him to wise up and have a say in this, but he remained a clown throughout the whole series.
All in all, it was a decent series. The father-daughter relationship was definitely one of the better aspect of this series.
As a side note, when did Haruka give Kouta the chocolate? I don't remember Haruka ever giving him the chocolate, but he remembered it in the flashback.

For those that can't understand how Haruka got pregnant by Kouta...re-read chapter 60, "Haruka Gives It Her Best", and the following chapter real close. The hints are definitely there...pay attention to Haruka's pants(or lack of them) before and after the kiss. Then in the following chapter, ...
Another annoying thing is that she wasn't actually rejected. Kouta had no idea what she was doing and she never explained herself. She never bothered to pursue it and did the exact same horrible thing that the woman who put him in that comatose position to him again.
I don't think this manga should be considered an example of good writing or pacing. Even though I'm not saying it's horrible either. I think the same situations could have been delivered with a little less stupidity from the characters.

I liked the little hints actually enjoyed it the mom was an utter bitch though and thought less lol glad he got together with Haruka in the end even though it's only hinted at if you read it carefully in the omake Haruka says she is getting a very talented assistant which kinda hints it's going to be Kouta
