Hey everyone.

A little bit about myself:

I'm newly 18 and at the end of senior year in High School. Up until now I've been pretty busy doing the asian-to-college thing. Grades, basketball, tennis, and piano. Last year come December I got accepted early to my first choice school on scholarship and have since been left with little to do except hang out and relax.

My friends say I give the impression that I'm a fun, funny, and laid back sort of guy. Which they then say is weird, since I'm ridiculously ambitious and active. So much for "laid back." I personally think "at east with the world" is a better phrase to describe myself.

The world of manga and anime was introduced to me by a friend (an addict herself), and I have since read at least two hundred chapters. I'd like to say I'm interested in sports manga, but I've had enough sports drama in my life that reading about it seems dull and boring. As a result, I'm more interested in genres that I haven't experienced in life. Shoujo, romance, slice of life, that sort of thing. Don't give me "track girl falls in love with basketball jock" or "everything for Tokyo U" sort of mangas, I've been there. People are attracted to what they aren't.

Despite all that, I'm addicted to music and am currently reading Nodame Cantabile and loving it.

I'm also looking forward to delving into the manga scene as a chinese or spanish (eh) translator. Being mainland Chinese by upbringing, Canadian by birth, and American by life, I used to be fluent in Chinese, but my skills have dropped as I've become fluent in Spanish through school. My japanese skills are abysmal at best, I can read all the kanji, none of anything else. I'm also willing to translate just about anything except large huge series. I like manga that has a close, so please, no "Hajime no Ippo" or "Naruto."

In terms of being an Editor: I have no idea how. I'm skilled in photoshop but I don't know what to do.

If you're a scanlating recruiter and are interested in a Chinese translator who can also edit (if given a little instruction) shoot me up.

Oh, Edit:
I forgot to mention I won't be available for editing until the end of June. That's when summer starts and I'll really have nothing to do. I'm heading back to China to visit relatives so I want to brush up on my chinese skills, but I definitely don't want to go back to chinese school with the kiddies.
