i got addicted to anime since i was 12. i just learned bout manga during my last year in college so if i'm with close friends, i am not embarrassed anymore. i talked about manga all the time. hoping to influence them. 😀
but if i'm with other people, i just shut up. they just don't understand y i'm totally in love with mangas!
im now 22, and i get reprimanded by my family why i spend my time on such nonsense. they told me i have to grow up, that i have to find a bf, etc.
haiz! but i just can't stop!

I'm not, but then, I don't really tell them... but that's because no one shares that hobby with me. I also read common novels, but because of the same thing, I just don't talk about it... then again, I enjoy it as my only thing wich I don't share

A bit, but that's due to the hyperactive obnoxious fans that are frequent where I live. My friends don't care anyways, though, 'cause they're cool like that. 🙂 One of my friends is also into manga, so I have someone to secretly discuss with. C:

Well, at first they thought I'm weird, since I'm really attached to manga. After a while, they became curious about why I was so into it, and started reading titles I recommended. Now they are all manga lovers like me (Infested Terrans) ----> There's no way I'm embarrassed 🤣 .

My friends? Nah. I always tell them the plots of the more ridiculous ones, like Kaiji which makes them confused.

No I'm not. Almost all my friends know I read manga. And they accept it. Heck, they read mangas themselves. :3

😕 HOW WOULD READING MANGA BE EMBARRASSING? What's to hide? Everyone comes to me because I'm the go to guy for manga. 😛 I DO NOT hide the fact I read manga. It's not something serious, like being gay or something, and if a person has a problem with what I READ they're not much of a friend.

wow... way to be a douche about it. some people aren't in the same position as you. they could be a little shy about it or might be embarrassed by it because they don't want to be ridiculed by certain people.

You are like the dense main character in a shoujo manga.

Kinda, I mean one of my friends introduced me to manga, but the rest of them don't understand it. I love this a reading regular fantasy books, but others find those to intrests strange so i just avoid the subject. If they ask I tell, but otherwise I don't mention it.

I'm not really embarrassed about it, but I don't go around telling people about it saying that they should try reading it. Of course I don't tell them I read ecchi manga online, not that they would know what it meant anyways, since I do read normal stuff not online. (I'm kinda confused with this sentence... 🤣 )
A lot of the people I know have read manga or seen anime, and still do, so I'm cool with it there.
I care waaaaay too much... 🙁
