All the time, we get this (most likely weak) uke who has this horrible trauma from his horrible past from the horrible homophobic society. 🤨 Either people found out and he was bullied/ostracised in school, he lost his job or his past relationships have involved going out with 'straight' guys, who may be in a relationship or single, and somehow it ends up along the lines with them saying something homophobic and upsetting to the uke and bam he's dumped and he takes the lesson of 'never straight guys anymore' or something. Either way, trust issues go up to a hundred. Cue the saviour seme.

What I want is the seme who experienced the homophobia. It must shape his character and this has to be exclusively to the seme and not towards the couple. So not like Complex where together they both(if I remember correctly) faced a harsh amount of homophobia.

Frankly I'm doubtful that much can be found since the former is such an overused BL trope, but there's always hope. After all, Paradise Baby exists, and it's exactly what I'm looking for. 😃 New York New York might apply, I guess.
