No religion? I know a few who would die for that.
I have a friend that i love so much, I die for him. 😃
Noone, not even myself. My life is more important than my conscience.

You die to make someone an Atheist? That seems kinda pointless. Not to be mean or anything.

i think he meant he would die proving religion is useless... NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE... and that wouldn't be pointless since he would die for his ideals...

anyways, What mams said is true, more times than not friends come and go, families die out, and pets only live for so long...
So why not stay yourself and make new friends and family.

I feel horrible for saying this but I don't think that anyone is more important to me than my life...no one. Not my parents, nor my siblings, nor my friends, or anyone related to me. But for my ideals... that is another story, I would gladly die for my ideals, as long as they come to fruition.
My pride.
Interpret however you want to.

I can see dieing for religion, because if your right your saving someone from a horrible fate. If you die trying to make someone atheist, well no one really gets anything new except a dead guy.

There are several there, like my parents and siblings I would die for and my nephew as well and I have a couple of friends I would die for. I chose pet since that is the least likely if you get my jist. I love my dog and cats so much and I know it isn't an exaggeration since once my dog ran in front of a car and I threw myself in it's path without even thinking about my own safety, extreme I know but I love my dog like a family member I've had her for 17 years now. My friend I was with had a heart attack but the car didn't hit me thankfully.
I agree that religion should be up there, wars have been fought over religion and it's a powerful motivator for lots of people regardless of what you believe. Money as well, lots of people die for money.
The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.

He didn't say he would die trying to make people atheists, he said he would die fighting against religion, which is pretty different. Although there's a lot of good that comes from religion, there's a lot of bad that comes out of it too (from a historical standpoint, anyway) in the form of wars, oppression, etc. Perhaps he disagrees with the establishments that cause that and doesn't want it to spread? It doesn't have to be about conversion. Like aneste said, it's about dying for what you believe is right, not as much about the consequences/results themselves. It's exactly the same as being willing to die for any religion, it's because you believe in it in the first place that you would stand up for it.

my family. and my friends. because even though you'll be alive physically after their death, you'll certainly have some parts of yourself dead. so it's better to die at all at once then die slowly without them.
religion and ideals are important, but our world is so fractional, that it makes all those things useless in no time. during your life you refuse something and there's no any certain possibility that you'll hold your own forever. everything flows, everything changes.
