I don't use words like "kawaii" ever, but words that are specific to manga like tsundere or moe, if I happen to be talking with otaku friends, there's no reason to cause confusion by not using a mutually understood word.

Sure, I know them. I'm pretty sure a few of my friends do, too.
But I think using them in normal conversation is ridiculous. (Partially because the person may not be aware of the details of the language. If the grammatical structure--hell, the complete structure of the language itself--is not anywhere close to Japanese, then the use of the words in English sentences probably won't be correct anyway. And then there's the entire issue of connotations...)
The only reason someone should start interjecting random languages into phrases of their native tongue is if they're trying to honestly learn the new language, in my opinion.
(Or if there just isn't a real English translation of the word. For example, I see no problem using "shounen-ai" or "yuri" or what have you in conversation. But I can't help but cringe when I hear a high-pitched shout of "KAWAII!" or "YOU BAKA!" )
That says exactly everything I would have said.
I'll also link this for lulz.
There's no need to use them.
Also, speaking in such manner would
make me look like a Philistine.

I use them, but it's because I'm studying Japanese - the most overly used words are so common in basic conversation! So between other students, when we practice conversation or use words, then yeah. But definitely not if I'm talking to people who don't know Japanese - that would be pretty wierd...

I have a feeling it's not a very nice one. 😔
As for me I do. But not kawaii or moe. I learned a little Japanese so I'm able to say actual sentences and phrases.
To tell you the truth, I find it annoying when people do that. They want to speak Japanese but kawaii and moe is the only thing then know how to say so that's what they keep saying.
It has happened to me once or twice where I can't get this phrase out of my head so I kept repeating it to people. But it was something totally random like "Let's go to the second floor of that building over there and see." 😀
Most of the time though they come out naturally. o____o

So er, what's tsundere and yandere mean?

So er, what's tsundere and yandere mean?
Tsundere = Character that has a conceited, spikey, combative personality that later on turns to being modest and loving.
Yandere = Personality that is initially extremely loving and gentle, then at one point becomes deranged or psychotic, often brutally so.

I've read enough to know what they mean, but I will never use them when talking to people, even if they know what it means. But if I talk about yaoi(which I don't say yaoi, I just call it BL), then maybe I'll say "seme" and "uke"...don't know if that fits in.

lol i was gonna post this when i saw the poll... that's the pic i introduce to people when they use those words... for some reason hearing those words from a nonnative speaker sends chills up my spine, and not the good kind. :[
