I'm starting a new group called WTF-scans.

However, before I can actually start scanlating, I first need staff. That's why I'm recruiting following positions.

-Translators: japanese or chinese to english preferably, I might consider picking up a korean project or two as well. No experience required, though I expect you to have at least some basic english skills.

-Proofreaders: Need to check the translated scripts for spelling/grammatical mistakes. Must have a good knowledge of the english language.

-Cleaners: Cleaning means making the scans look good. Cleaners should be able to rotate, crop, level, clone and remove dirt/empty text bubbles. Redrawing would be nice, but isn't required. Cleaners must have experience with programs like photoshop or paint shop pro.

-Typesetters: Typesetters put the english text in the bubbles. Just like editors, they should have a graphic program. I don't expect any fantastic variations in font style and size, but you should be able to center the text properly.

-Quality checkers: QCs check the typesetted chapters for mistakes in both the text and image. After that they send their notes back to the editor. They should have a good eye for detail.

-IRC bot: Someone who can host/set up a bot to maintain order in the IRC-channel.
XDCC optional.

• Raw provider: Someone who scans raw manga or browses asian sites to find it.

-leechers: Just people who idle in the IRC channel to make things a bit more lively.

All staff should have an IRC client.

These projects aren't decided yet. They are projects I would like to do, but much depends on the translator.

kamikaze (need raws for this)

ginenbijnoam, what exactly can you do? You can't just form a group and try to recruit EVERY job. It doesn't work that way.

First of all, I just found out about B.reaction. That's why I won't pick it up.

About the raws: I have raws for chaosic rune and otogi matsuri, but I'm still looking for raws of kamikaze and as I don't know any asian language it would be helpful to have someone browse asian sites for me. Please note that this position is of secondary interest.

about myself: I am mainly a proofer/QC, but I also have some basic editing skills. All I really need to get started right now is translator, but we wouldn't get very far with only that.

Who proofreads Sora no Otoshimono? If it's you guys, I will be more than happy to help you proofread that along with others that you need help with. Judging by the one chapter I read, each one shouldn't take me any longer than perhaps 20 mins (assuming that it would come to me in even worse condition). As for my experience with the English language, I have taken several advanced courses in this field and it's my native language so I believe I am qualified for such a job.

Although I will have to thank you anyhow for even doing such a job as everything else looks nicely done. It's just looks like you guys could use a little more help.
