Last time I tried, I couldn't put a series in more than one list. It would be nice for me to put a series in, for example, a "Recommendations" list at the same time as it's in my "Complete" list. If there is a way already, sorry for asking. If there isn't...
I understand that a reason why adding this feature may be troublesome is because of the deliberate difference between the Wish List and the Complete List and the Reading List (etc.). Having a series in two or more of those categories would decrease organization. If that's an issue for the site, I wouldn't mind if those default lists were put into a separate system from the user-created lists (if that makes sense), so the "status" of reading a series is a different thing all together from lists like "If You're Horny" (yes that is one of my private lists) or "Recommendations".
Anyway, let me know what's up with this! Thanks!

Just a thought.
Instead of implementing an entire new feature you can create two lists for each category.
Like: Recommended Complete and Recommended Current or something down that line.
You can keep the Complete for your normal set of series while Recommended Complete for the one's you really like.

I'm not sure if just splicing the current default lists would help very much, though I suppose I'd take advantage of it. What if I want to put all my recommendations from my "Complete" list and "Unfinished" list into one big list? Besides, we already have the option of creating our own lists outside of the given. I do agree that my suggestion could complicate what happens to the list system internally

Currently, there is an "Add to (list)" option for manga which have not yet been placed into a list by the user. For manga which are already placed in a list, there is a "Move to (list)" option.
I guess another way to state my problem is that I want the "Add to (list)" feature to still appear on pages for manga which are already in a list.
So if we're assuming it's necessary to separate the "reading status" lists and the other personal lists: for a manga which has already been placed in my "Complete List", the manga page would display a "Move to (On Hold, Reading, other default lists...)" option as well as an "Add to (Recommendations, If You're Horny, other user created lists...)" option.
Then I guess this could lead to a "Remove from (list)" feature, or at least there should be something on the top of the page that says "This series is in your Complete List and your Recommendations list."
This is a lot of text! Here is a picture of something from my cute stuff folder in apology.
