I just noticed very recently that a large number of titles vanished from the "Surreal" category(I recall there were up to 2 pages of listings). Was that category previously deleted or something? 😕

I noticed because a certain title with that category tag no longer contained it, so I'd to re-add it.

And is there any way to restore the deleted entries?

Erm... how does that happen? 😕 I thought only users who added the series could delete them, and also mods/admins ? Does this mean that others shouldn't use this category tag in the future?

Oh well... sighs There is no way to restore the deleted titles? Hmmm... ah well. Perhaps some safeguard should be made against this in the future.

The same thing seems to have happened a couple days ago with the "cat" and "cats" tags; I think when these two tags were replaced with "cat/s," all the series in the list for the former tags weren't transferred, so they disappeared. I don't know if there's a good way to prevent the titles' getting "dumped" in the future, but at least consolidating the two terms that are really the same is good. It's ok though anyways; I went through and added the "cat/s" tag to all the manga with cats in it that I could find. (I hope that wasn't something I'm not supposed to do for any reason? If so, please tell me.)
Hm, actually, now that I think about it, maybe there could be something like, if a category has a lot of titles in it, if/when someone attempts to delete it, a little warning could show up saying, "This category has over 50 titles. Are you sure you want to delete it? Do you want to transfer these titles to another category instead?" or something to that effect. After all, maybe the "surreal" tag was deleted by accident. I don't know how big or small the title-dumping problem is, though; if it's only happened these two times, then it's probably not worth taking measures on that might otherwise get in the way...

To lynira: yeah but the deletion of that "surreal" category happened not just once but twice.

Provided there's a human behind these attempts, that's no accident for sure. ^^;; The first time, I noticed that all the entries were gone. So, I added at least 2 or more entries back and then later, I noticed that they were gone again. Also, most or all of the entries actually met the definition of "surreal" as they were fairly experimental, odd and stuff.

Unless, well... perhaps it was a bug or some sort of error.
