To be honest, I really liked Crisis Core. :3

I was torn in this poll. Final Fantasy VI is one of my favorite standard RPGs, the first game I ever played all the way to the end, the game that hooked me on RPGs (I loved FFIV when I first played it, but it was too difficult for me when I was real young; i didn't start to respect that game until I played it later on).

However, despite the regard I hold that game to, I still had to go with Tactics. i just prefer SRPGs to standard ones. As SRPGs go Tactics was a milestone too (though there were good SRPGS before it). The original translation was a bit confusing (especially when I was a lot younger) but the gameplay was fluid and addictive, characters were good and what I could make of the story was interesting.

I guess to be more specific, the best FF game would be the PSP remake of tactics, despite a few minor problems, the improved translation and added story scenes just made the game better.

i thought the story line was the best out of all of em...i don't kno why but i just love playing through it

i've played from ff-III through ff-XII

that includes online, dirge, crisis core x-2 and all tactics also

My first FF game I played was FF VIII. When I first played it I was 9 years old. English isn't my native language so I have absolutly no idea how I managed to finnish that game (the only words I knew in english was the most simple ones like bye, hi, dog, cat etc. Now when I think about it, I didn't even know the story at that time but I know that I loved the game. I only played the game twice but for some reason I still remember whole gameplay (must be because I spent 200+ hours on the game ^^). FF VIII gets 2nd place.

After that I bought the FF IX game when it was released but I never managed to finnish that one. The way they made the characters was more "fantasy-like" but it looked ok anyway. The character Zidane Tribal is my second favorite game character but the game itself gets 3rd place.

The best Final Fantasy ever made is definitly FF X. I love everything about it, especially the story. When I played this one I was good enough at english to understand what they talked about etc. This game gets the 1st place and it also have my favorite game character Tidus and my favorite game romance (the one between Tidus and Yuna).

My nick Zidust. After what I wrote I might be pretty easy to figure out where i got it from. The Zid part from Zidane.The idus from Tidus. The t is something I just put there because the nick would be to much like Tidus if I used Zidus ^^.

Overall I recommend those who have never played any of the games to do so. FFXII had almost no romance at all, the story was to shallow and was according to me a big failure. Somehow I didn't like the characters (except Ashe pherhaps). Why couldn't Vaan's brother Reks or Ashe's husband be the main character instead 😢 . Well it was playable but the other FF games mentioned (FF VII included of course) are on a completely different level.

I picked 8. The older ones had great stories and stuff, but I liked 8 because it also had an excellent story, but I loved the graphical upgrade it recieved. The characters all looked like actually humans, which was hard to do with old sprites, and was only in the battle scenes in 7.

Secondly, I like 12, even though it seems most others don't. Its VERY different for a FF game, but I think it works in its own way. 10 was good because it finally had voice acting in the game, which the others had very little of. The rest are all good. I find each FF is good in its own right, and each has unique things about it that make it good, so I based this on the ones that appeal to me the most, as a gamer.

Much to my shame, I've never played a FF game...

WAIT! I did play one. It was FF 1 or 2 or something right around there. It was either an N64 version or SNES version, or one of those ancient things.

Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker?

I had to vote for X - the first FF I played (yes, I was a girl who wasn't allowed a PS1 so didn't have the chance to play VII or any of the earlier games - though I have bought a copy of VIII to play ^^) X was also one of the the first RPGs I played on my PS2 and has to be one of my favourite games. Obviously, compared to XII the graphics have lessened, but I was amazed at the cutscenes when I first played it and the story really sucked me in.

Kinda no shock in this one when you know VII is going to get the highest game score...... 🙄
