I just thought this was interesting to find out how many people actually know the meaning to the saying a person having the devil's luck. From what I seen there are several definitions out there but only one correct definitioon.

What do you think it is? Please post what you think it is. Finding out who actually knows is the fun part.

Yeah, it is outrageously good luck, originally the word own must have been present.
Your son really has the devil's own luck.

Devil's Luck = Disobey the God then kicked out from Heaven to be eternally tortured in Hell later on.
Does that mean the Devil are really lucky?

Yeah, its incredibly good luck, but something bad always follows

Isn't it a contraction of the proverb "The devil's children have the devil's luck". That is, ill behaving people seem to have undeserved luck getting away with their bad behaviour.

It just means he/she is incredibly lucky. So lucky that something nearly impossible works in his/her favor for example a person is involved in a really bad car crash which survival is nearly impossible but he/she escapes without a scratch (or with minor injuries).

God's not in the business of gambling, he's not keen on luck.

Satan though? Man, he's all over that.
