Who do you all think is/are (or would be) the joker card in One Piece? From how the story goes so far... I would say there's already two joker card; Rayleigh and Kizaru. Probably one of the remaining Sichibukai or Yonko might also be a joker card. Well, that's my opinion.

Like in the card game, Joker card is considered the strongest card, but it is not considered among the 52 cards, right? So basically, a Joker card character is a very strong character that makes appearance in the manga, but he/she is not considered a part of the storyline. A Joker card character can only be defeated by another Joker card character. Famous examples of Joker card characters are Seijuro Hiko and Fuji (the giant) from Rurouni Kenshin. They are both Joker card characters so only both of them can fight each other.

I'm not sure, I thunk they may be, but through reading they might be beatable somehow.

For Luffy to be pirate king I think he has to surpass Rayleigh, although I doubt they'll fight, but he has to be stronger than him... maybe not right now though.

I think Kizaru's beatable too, and he's very much part of the plot with what he's doing right now. Or maybe I don't get the term joker card?

i don't think there's any right now in the series actually. if Luffy is to be the Pirate King he'd have to be stronger than all the guys you've mentioned. and it's likely he'll end up fighting some of them down the line too. if anything all of them right now are just fitting along with the New World idea of strength and what to expect from that side of the Grand Line.

I disagree with the Rayleigh part. In general for One Piece, Captains are stronger than their first mates. If Rayleigh was the first mate of Gol D. Roger who fought on equal terms with Whitebeard (i.e. the world's strongest man), it would make sense that Whitebeard could beat Rayleigh, thus nullifying his joker card status. And since it seems that a one-armed Shanks is on par with Whitebeard, then Shanks could probably take down his old captain's first mate as well.

Prior to the introduction of the Dark Logia Fruit, I may have said that certain logia Devil Fruit wielders were Jokers, such as Ace and Aokiji based on supposed elemental weaknesses and such. But since the Dark Fruit cancels out a Logia fruits invulnerability to everything but their weakness, at this point I'd say no one with a Devil fruit can be considered a Joker Card. That being said, the only one with sufficient background info that I would consider a Joker card is Hawkeye. Zoro could be Hawkeye's counterpart, but then it would bring up the entire argument of the victor in a Zoro vs. Luffy fight. Since Dragon is the world's most wanted man, he can also be a Joker card, but too little info is available as to what he is capable of that he can be disregarded at this point.

I'm betting on Dragon meeting up with Luffy. Luffy will lose and Dragon will let him go.

From ch 511, looks like I'm right after all. Both Kizaru and Rayleigh are a Joker card characters. Like I said before; A Joker card character can only have equal battle with another Joker card character. They are not unbeatable. They are just too strong for a normal card character to handle. Only another Joker card character can fight and defeat them.

Just like Seijuro Hiko beat Fujii Anyway, looks like only One Piece can satisfy me nowadays. Other mainstream manga quite sucks.

I see your point, I do think the Strawhats will one day get good enough to become stronger, but as of now they are Joker Cards.

It's gonna be one hell of a fight.
