I don't download hentai but my buddy does and doesn't hide it that well. It's all on a folder on his desktop on his laptop and they're viewed by thumbnails so it's easily accessed and easily identified. xD But luckily he guards the thing like a fragile child so no one dares to touch it.

Heh.

* One X10 tranciever (http://www.x10.com/automation/x10_tm751.htm)
* One DLink wireless media server with an additional two external drives (http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=377)
* One VERY UGLY, foot-thick, fat-bodied lamp. (try your local flea-markets : )
* Small DC fan and minibrick
* A few inconspicious holes
* One Squid power adaptor (substantially butchered and re-soldered)
* PGP Desktop Storage (http://www.pgp.com/products/packages/desktop_storage/index .html)
* VMWare Player (http://www.vmware.com/products/player/) - Designed to be the only 'machine' that can access and decrypt. Since it's read-only, all tracks, recent files, etc are erased when the machine is 'shut down'.

Took a fair ammount of work to set up - about 10 hours, and about $500 including the hardware, drives, and software. Now I have storage that's only accessable by using my X10 TV remote to turn on the NAS and ext drives, booting the VM, and entering the seperate passphrases for my laptop and remote encrypted volume. Takes 76 seconds before ACDSee can show my AMG dojin. : )

After a friend from high school got rail-roaded into a sex offender label, (and the resultant unbelievably horrendous devestation of his life) I've made it a practice to keep anything that might concievably interest an Evil, Bible-Thumping, Paranoid/Schitz, Arrogant, Running-For-ReElection DA for any possible reason unconditionally seperate.

(He slapped and yelled at a girl who keyed his car - she turned out to be 14 and drunk. She got community service. He lost his job, house, savings, girlfriend, family, rights, and most of his sanity. You Have Been Warned.)

my own comp, no need to fear any one snooping around since no one knows my password...and always use that window key protection thing.

Mainly in full view. (I don't have a hentai background on my desktop, although I have had some pretty ecchi ones in the past!)(I don't watch hentai anime with people in the room, but I have no real problem reading HC doujin in that environment.)
I've always thought that if it needs to be hidden, you probably shouldn't have it!

I don't really hide it. I do keep it in an unnamed folder along with my regular porn though. I don't really have to worry bout someone finding it since I'm the only computer literate person in my family. Although my friend knows where to find it whenever he comes over, but why worry about a guy who's responsible for giving you half your porno video collection. All those months without a high speed internet really hampered my hentai and porno watching.

personal trick is to hide it in the manga folder, under something ridiculous like E/manga/yakiatake_japan/vol_03/chap_02

the manga folder's already in the 50+ gigs so no matter how big the H stuff gets, it's always hidden

You guys really should use encryption software (as previously mentioned). There's a free (and good) program available at www.truecrypt.org

All you have to do is remember a password and all the secret stuff is safely kept away.
