Some Ideas/suggestion

I've tried looking through this subforum to make sure i ain't going over covered ground already so i'm hoping I haven't.
Just want to throw some ideas/suggestions out there:
-
I regularly check the releases link, but there are times when it feels like releases have been "snuck" in to the day of release, even when they weren't mentioned on the day of releasing. Say, i checked it few minutes prior midnight (GMT) and there wasn't any new releases, when i check in the morning, a couple of releases have been added. Technically it's correct i guess, but i have to backtrack the previous day(s?) to make sure i'm up to date with whatever new releases for manga's are out. So my idea is whether it is possible to place an icon / highlighter, next to releases added since last visit or page refresh.
-
An quicker volume chapter number in the series pages. The +1 for volume, and +10 - 5 for chapter is a bit awkward and going to the my list page to change it manually isn't ideal.
-
Ability to search for manga's that have anime adaptations. Often i like to check out both versions.
-
A "currently reading vol# ch#" column for the new releases. To avoid clicking the series link, or my list link to check if the latest release is something you already read/have.
Sorry if any of these have been brought up before. Thanks. 😁
*Extra additions:
Latest scanlated release and total volumes/chapters of the Manga in the mylist section. I don't know how you lot organise your manga's but i often have the information of the above (plus the release group and mangaka) in the folder name, and use the info on this site for this - so anything to reduce jumping back and forth is a good thing in my book.

Well, we have latest scanlated release (it's the little red number next to the series in the reading list), and you can check your status on a series if you hover over the little icon next to the series name on the releases page.
Other than that, I think all of your suggestions are great, and I will make a note of them. I cannot add anything right now because of time constraints, but I think you have some really good suggestions, and will get to them as soon as I can.
Thanks!

No problem, i appreciate you looking at them 🙂
Some other things i would like to add so i hope you don't mind.
The red value indicating latest scanned release, shows from my experience the latest release even though it's no longer about. Using comic party as an example, Gensokyo has it released up to vol 1 ch 6, but since cabbit released it back in 2004, up to chapter 8, it's always shown as 8 is the latest, rather than focusing on the newest - and highest release, so i would never know of a release from gensokyo till they actually surpassed to chapter 9. Would an "ignore this release" be possible?.
This is more of a bug than a suggestion i think: "Karakuri Circus" - If you add the latest volume and chapter released by blackout and null, it still shows as chapter 10 as the newest scan. I think this may have to do with the numbering of the chapter for vol 5 where it goes back to 1-3 chapter. I believe the same happens with Evangelion Iron Maiden 2nd. And Pastel has (76) listed even though latest releases for the series shows 75 as the latest.

Yea, i know. It has to do with how the site determines the newest release (which is more or less a hack right now). I need to do a redesign of the database to make it work better.

Just tacking on some additional ideas, so don't mind me =)
AFAIK there isn't a page where users can keep track of their forum posts. I had to find this page manually - so that's my first suggestion.
Second one is choosing between a "list the manga you are reading" option (as it is now) and a "list those which you are reading but are not up to date on view. So it removes the icons for those files which you already have the latest release for and don't need to worry about. When i look at the releases I tend to grab whatever, gets my attention so i have a lot of reading manga icons, but there might be one that snuck in there among the other icons. So hopefully this idea helps with that. I get the feeling i've already proposed something similar in this thread. Oh well..

Lol, we need icons for our icons now eh? Lots of people want a "list of releases for series only on your reading list with date range option". I've written the query for this, but haven't gotten into writing the code yet. As far as your other point, You can subscribe to the topics and see them if you go to your User CP... that's the best I have right now.
