Going into this chapter, I thought I would care less about this fight, Kira alway seemed a useless character to me. After this chapter, my respect for him rose several levels. I still wish Kubo would have drawn Rangiku kicking his ass back during the Soul Society arc though.

Not much else to say. Maybe the upcoming fights will make me feel more than indifference toward Ikakku and Hisagi as well.

Kira's a lot darker than i initially thought, i guess his attitude from all those fillers kind of put me in that mindset. 🤢 i never thought of him as useless, but i thought he never had an opportunity to show his skills for what they are. i mean he was Gin Vice-Captain after all so there's gotta be some skill behind the guy after all.

OK chapter, but all it did was give some depth to characters that not many people talk about. While Kira did reveal some stuff about him, his character is so downsized by everything else that it makes these chapters seem somewhat like a waste of time. Hopefully the captain/arrancar/vaizard battles aren't such one-side battles that the vice-captains/third seat have shown us so far against the fraciones.

well those guys were called by Yamamoto Elites for a reason. i don't think he would throw such a title around so lightly.

I'm losing more and more respect for Aizen. His arrancar are getting beaten by people who aren't even captains. Even when its captains, its usually easy victories. The arrancar and Espada usually have some weird power that you can't account for. That gives them a lead in the beginning, but shortly after the Shinigami always just pwn the crap out of them.

Maybe I misread this or misheard it, but I swear that somewhere the ranking was like this:

Espada ** Aizen's Arrancar ** Natural Arrancar [b] Vasto lorde > Avg Captain (most be one of the 13, which are strong. this is a real average of people like Kenpachi, Soi-fon, Rukia' brother, etc)

I know I heard this somewhere legit. But that being the case, how are captains easily beating the crap out of Espada? How are vice captains making a fool out of the Arrancar?

it was just an assumption on the Espadas power. they're not above the captains just able to fight them on even terms. the ones fighting now aren't Espada, their the "bodyguards" of the Espada so to say, or maybe their "Vice-Captains", depending on how you look at it. either way you were overestimating the Espada a bit IMO.

But right now they are just cannon fodder. They can't beat anybody, regardless of skill level. But even once slowed down, the opponent is usually left strong enough to still pursue the target they are going after.

Thats worthless. Aizen left Soul Society searching for more power and all he was able to do was find/make a crew thats weaker than basically any officer in Soul Society.
