Hi guys. Summer is approaching and my school is coming up with a spring fling festival. now part of this festival involves us working with little kids [kindergarten to 2nd graders] and I'm one of the people that have to learn how to do Paper cranes, Origami. This was the idea we decided to do and also to help Japan's earthquake relief fund , For every paper crane you make, 2 dollars will be donated to it. So we are going to try making 1000 paper cranes so we can send it to the foundation.
Also there is this Japanese saying that if you make 1000 paper cranes, your wish might come true.
I'm currently making paper cranes in my home as to help the kids to get to 1000 paper cranes. 2 days ago I didn't know how to do it, and now, I've perfectly mastered it. ^^

So if your school is coming up with some sort of festival, please suggest the idea. to make the paper crane is fairly easy. This youtube video is the best to help you with it, if you don't know about it. I used it and I've become literary a pro at it.
This is a great help for Japan and great crafts work for the kids. So if you have the time, please do consider this idea. The Japan's relief fund website, I'll ask my teacher who's in charge of this to tell me, and i'll write it down. But on the mean time, do consider this idea. it is awesome, fun and a great way to help our fellow people in Japan.

Lol, our Saturday Japanese class decided to take part in this last week. We didn't nearly make a thousand paper cranes, but hey, the fact that everyone was momentarily united with the same feelings was almost enough to make up for it. In the end I think we made about 400 cranes.

yep. that's pretty true. i managed to do 110 or so today , totally right its the feeling that counts. 🙂
