Exactly what the title said. Having read so many mangas where the protagonist is this "magnanimous good guy who helps everyone," it gets very repetitive. A perfect example of what I am. NOT looking for is Eden no ori. I am sure there are many other examples that I can come up with, but I can't remember them at the top of my head. I can't really think of an example of what I want, so just list away! Although I prefer it to be post apocalyptic, or in a death game type of setting, I am still open up for recommendations of a different setting. Thanks in advance!

Di(e)ce might be good here, the protagonist does help people but it's usually for his own selfish reasons and personal gain (or usually if it means he'll die too) as opposed to actually caring about these people.

I haven't read Eden No Ori sadly so I can't really tell if they're similar.

It's kind of a spoiler, but

Real Account . You'll have to read a few chapters that are basically what you don't want, though.

Ajin (Not post-apocalyptic/game-of-death, but a pretty rotten world nonetheless)
Gyakusatsu Kikan
Kiba no Tabishounin - The Arms Peddler -- Though the protagonist is female.
Usogui
I Am a Hero is probably like that; though I didn't read far enough to be certain, there are several comments to that effect.
