I originally bought one hundred pokemon figures from [url]www.LDUcompany.com [/url]but they say there are over 400 different kinds. They have one wholesale lot of 440 at this page [url]http://www.liangdianup.com/inventory/109933.htm[/url]
Are there really that many different monsters? Every place I look says a different total number. Even the official pokemon website says a different total then some posters that I have seen. Is this a growing number? Do they even have this cartoon anymore?

And obviously if everywhere else it says there are 440 pokemon and its said on the real site, im pretty sure that its a fact... y u need us to confirm is beyond me... but yes, there are 440 pokemon, i dont even watch the show or have I in years and I can tell u that.

Also, pokemon is originally a video game. Not a manga or anime. The manga and anime are just merchandising. You shouldn't be asking here, but at a video game site, like IGN, 1up, gamespot, etc.

There are currently exactly 493 pokemon in existence. They add like 150-200 per generation of the videogames.
Here's a list of all the pokemon in the game currently
And yes the show still exists 😛

493?!?! I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH FINGERS AND TOES TO COUNT WITH!! The original 150 (151 for those who actually counts Mew) were the best in my opinion. The later ones were just so random and kinda... well... unoriginal...

What if they decide every pokemon have their own subspecies like Monster Rancher (you know, Mocchi variant, Golem variant, Pixie variant etc)... 😲
