Early bird here through and through... I cannot sleep in even if i want to, unless i am sick, i wake up no later than 7AM, so accordingly i try to go to sleep 11PM or so... I mean sure tempting to read in bed, but i can do it early in the morning too after waking up...

I try to be an early bird but I'm always so sleepy... 😔 And then I end up staying up and being a night owl

It's 4:19 am as I type this, so definitely night owl. I struggle so much with keeping a regular sleep schedule, I'm always just so tired during the day and I can't sleep through the night.

Even if I try to force myself to go to sleep at night and stay awake all day to get onto a normal sleep schedule, it never seems to stick for long. I don't sleep very well, and I eventually end up either staying up way too late anyway because I'm just not tired and I have poor impulse control, or oversleeping and sleeping into the day if I don't have multiple alarms set and really force myself to get up, and then I'm back to square one.

I put Night Owl, but...
Irregular sleep–wake rhythm disorder
In other words, I have no set time I wake/sleep. It varies.
It can shift anywhere from around ten minutes, to 15-ish hours (typically no more than 2-3 hours), from one "day" to the next.
It can sometimes stay fairly stable, several days. Occasionally as much as about a week. It's rare for it to stay stable, for about two weeks. I have had very rare cases, of a longer period, but that's fairly miraculous.
As is stated in the Wikipedia article, about the condition (and trust me, this is VERY true!):
"The disorder is serious—an invisible disability. It can create social, familial, and work problems, making it hard for a person to maintain relationships and responsibilities, and may make a person home-bound and isolated."

Having a sleep cycle that differs from what is expected by society (which expects you to wake early, and sleep late [with an emphasis on waking early], basically not getting enough sleep, unless you're one of the few who don't need a lot of sleep), is fine. Granted, you'll have a difficult time getting a job that accepts that, but...
It's predictable, and it is possible to get work, social contacts etc, that fits with it, in one way or another ...and would be easy, if society didn't have tyrannical/discriminatory/harmful expectations of when you're supposed to sleep/wake.
Waking/sleeping earlier or later than expected, even to the degree of being considered to have delayed/advanced sleep phase disorder, is only a problem, because of societal demands.
They are not disorders. It is society that is the disorder!
...but irregular sleep–wake rhythm disorder, on the other hand...

Still, as I used to wake/sleep late, and I'm still more active, later in my "day" (i.e. when I'm awake), I'm still a night owl.

As is very well established, it is very bad/harmful (physically, mentally, emotionally...), to force oneself to wake/sleep earlier/later than your natural sleep cycle would dictate. If you have to use an alarm clock, you're getting up too early. (if possible, you should change your job ...or your shift)

On a related note, getting enough sleep, and having good sleep quality, is very important. Not getting enough, or proper quality, sleep, is also very bad/harmful (physically, mentally, emotionally...)

...and bad sleep (be it length, quality, or not in line with your biological clock), also makes you less productive. So doing stuff like pulling all-nighters, or cutting into your sleep, to do more work and/or accomplish something more quickly, is counter-productive.

Originally, I'm not an early bird. But since I got my new job, I have to become one. 😂

Night owl, but it might be killing me, and I'm trying to change it. Waking up at a normal time is starting to feel better than staying up late normally does for me.

No. Waking up early, doesn't make you an early bird. Naturally waking up early, makes you an early bird.

No, it's forcing yourself to keep a different sleep rhythm, than your biological clock dictates, that is harmful. Not sleeping/waking late, because that's what your body wants.

Waking up at a normal time is starting to feel better than staying up late normally does for me.

If you're naturally waking up and feeling sleepy, earlier than you used to, if you are naturally starting to tend that way, then that'd indicate that your rhythm is changing.
