Doomed to fall in love

Looking for a manga rec where the leads are mutually in love, but one of them is tied by circumstance (job position, curse, hand of the divine/author) to be devoted to the other lead. Bonus points if this causes the unbound lead angst and anxiety regarding the bound lead's freedom/feelings. Double bonus points if the unbound lead falls harder than the bound lead.
Not interested in yaoi, yuri, harem, or mecha.

So they were already in love since the very first chapter? Is that even fun?
Are you looking strictly for a romance manga?

Never underestimate the power of a good devoted character.
Looking for something like Momomo Sumomo, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (though no incest is def preferred), Midori no Hibi, Mitsugetsuhime to Vampire, Jiu Jiu, Forever Mine, etc.
The manga doesn't necessarily have to be a romance, and usually there's not mutual love in the beginning, but I would like the un/bound pair to be endgame. Angsty dynamics (bound character is devoted but isn't in love, but unbound is, and afraid to make the bound character do anything they don't want; unbound character wasn't in love in the beginning, but falls too hard throughout the series and now they're scared that circumstances will change and bound character won't love them anymore) are a plus.
But action, thriller, whatever, so long as the subplot operates with said dynamic.

It's a comedy first and foremost, and I have no idea if the pairing is meant to be that way in the end, but there is a story I can think of that has people cursed into a falling in love situation, and while they try to fight it, they're best friends trying to make things the way they used to be.

It's a lot better than the tags would suggest.
