I liked Gotoh a lot....it is a pity that he was taken out so quickly. But then again, Hisoka is quite the monster.
What are your thoughts on the chapter?

Hunter x Hunter is really awesome in the way that anyone can be killed aside from the main 4 (Gon, Killia, Kurapika, Leorio). Even they are not beyond being seriously injured though. Gon has already lost his hands a few times in battle, lol... I especially love how important nen abilities are: the winner is not always the one with more nen. Gotoh could have riddled Hisoka with holes if Hisoka hadn't made himself into a slingshot.

RIght now I look forward to Hunter x Hunter the most every week (out of popular Shonen Jump titles at least). One Piece's current arc is sort of meh, and while a lot is going on in Naruto, a lot of things about it (bullshit jutsu) just frustrates me... As for Bleach... let's just pretend it finished a long time ago.

Ever since the Chimera Ant arc finished I've been loving every chapter. I used to really hate the Chimera Ant arc but when I re-read it a few weeks ago to remind myself what had happened, it didn't seem all that bad... (I had to re-read because in chapter 325 I had no idea who the guy with sunglasses in the hospital with Gon and Leorio was... poor Marau played such a big part in the previous arc and I still forgot him...) I blame the ridiculously long and frequent breaks the author kept taking during that arc for my hating it and forgeting shit that happened all the time... And now that I think about it that arc was probably more than half of all the Hunter x Hunter chapters.

Anyway, I didn't expect Gotoh to die like that, but it was at least good to know that the power level scale is holding up. There should not be many characters that can beat Hisoka who is one of the strongest around. This way the Chimera Ant arc isn't disregarded and the strenght of the ants, specifically the Royal Guards still holds firm. If Netero wasn't as strong as a Royal Guard, there's no way Hisoka would be... and judging by how he was assigning numbers from 1 to 100 to the Hunters in a previous chapter, it doesn't look as if there would be many who are stronger than Netero.

Hmm, this turned into a rant of sorts... when all I was going to say was that Hunter x Hunter is really good at the moment... I am just hoping the author won't turn it into Hiatus x Hiatus again... And that he won't introduce new characters, who are much stronger than the Royal Guard ants. Netero did say that he was not the strongest Hunter anymore, but there should not be too many as strong as him. I think it's much better when the fights are more about the abilities themselves than the power level of nen or whatever. So far I haven't been let down but we'll see...

I wasn't sure on the last page, did gotoh's head got severed or just slashed? I like gotoh so I'm hoping for the latter, he might have a chance to survive.

I really hope that by the end of this arc, at least one of the servants that's helping Killua will be alive. I quite like them, Gotoh especially. Pity he died. 🙁

At first I was completely sure that he was beheaded, but now looking at it again I'm not sure.
Either way, he ain't fighting after that, 🤣

I wouldn't be disappointed if he ended up surviving anyways
