Where can I go to talk about manga scans, a few series in which I used to read have been discontinued and were not licensed in English and was wondering where I go to request and find other scanlations that might take up a new series.

Thank you.

Sorry but on MU there is no place to request. Also, generally scanlation groups don't take requests as they lack proper resources (mainly translators).

I have heard Easy Going Scans accept requests though. You can go to their forums and request it in manga suggestion section. Hope it helps

I appreciate that, hopefully they accept all genres since its unrelated to shoujo or seinen.

Realistically, your requests are worth very little to scanlation groups.

If you want your proposal to be considered seriously, you need to offer to work on that manga yourself. Obviously, you're not expected to be able to translate, but if you commit to clean and typeset it, the chances of it being picked up will be much higher compared to if you just ask other people to do everything for you, while you sit on your ass and wait for releases. But honestly, since there's typically a shortage of translators, it might take a while to find one. Still, those persistent enough usually do manage to find a translator.

Numerous cleaning and typesetting tutorials are available if you just google for them.

Of course groups would give more priority to their staff. They have to please staff and well, no project is possible if the staff is not interested in doing that. Being a editor of a group have its own advantage.

I just saw your request on EGS and I am afraid that they won't accept it. EGS don't translate yaoi/yuri projects. It would be better to ask a yaoi group about that. If you can convince them that the manga is great and it would be popular, the yaoi groups might accepr the request. (Oh, and if you can offer them some help, I am sure they would accept it) 😁

As others have said, this site is not the place for such requests.

Go to the groups directly and talk to them.
If you have anything to offer (like editing or scanning the books), you can try recruiting, or again, applying to the groups in person. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother.

I'm locking this.
