Your attitude towards inanimate objects.

I name them and talk to them. For example, my flute was named Fred when I was using it five days of the week, my computer is Conner (so I can tell my friends I spent all night on Conner), my cell phone is Shelby and I have a stuffed cow with an embarassing name (I think an entire bag of chocolates was consumed around the time of the christening). But it's not like I treat them as if they're alive; I throw them around when I'm in a temper, drop them on the ground and lose them in the far reaches of my hugeoid purse.
I am a breath of insanity in a world of chaos.

For the stuff I own, I respect them. I mean.... I (or someone else) bought them with their own money so I'm not exactly going to destroy it.
I keep stuff clean and safe.
My friend calls his tuba, Old Bessy. Many, many lolz.

All my objects under fifty bucks are stress relievers. I treat everything else nicely according to their values to me.

Well, they can be a good stress relief...ehehe. Don't get me wrong, I respect my things just as well as any other guy. But, when I'm angry or stressed, the nearest least expensive object becomes my outlet. The absolute worst I have ever done to my possessions is rip a cheap teddy bear in half because of anger toward my family. 😀

well it depends on the object...
if the object is always performing well then you should take care of it but if it doesnt...well...dont get me started on that...

it depends on the object, if it's not important than I won't really care about them. If the object is important, then I name it...i don't know why I do that 😐
Ex) I named my Selmer 123FB : Obie, and that name has stuck for years
I don't name anything, but I treat objects with respect mostly.
Sometimes I talk to my computer, like if it's acting weird I beg it not to die XD
If it's someone else's or if it's fragile I am really careful with it.
They can get as dirty as possible if I don't
use them with my hands. I avoid eating germs.
I'd still prefer them intact.
I don't get mad if there's mud on my pants.
I couldn't care less. A few holes, no big deal.
I can still wear them. I treat machinery with care.
If it can serve its purpose even if there's a couple
of dents here and there, then it is all good, but
anything that can malcunction due to damage should
be preserved.

My first Gundam model I ever made was probably my best memory with an inanimate object. It took time to make, and I cherished every moment making it.
Of course it's getting a bit old, but I still see it as an object, and a memory. Objects can be catalysts to memory of a special time. That's why if you don't treat it like it was a special memory, then you'll forget why you treasured it.

I have given names to all my bikes and kart engines. My first ever car had a name as well.
I treat most of my stuff with respect. If my house was on fire, there'd probably be more than 50 inanimate objects I'd choose to save instead of a living thing.
Point & Squirt
Respect def.
Especially my pc. I swear, if I shout at it, it goes and fails on me, crashes, and I have to reboot the whole goddamn thing.
Everytime. Without fail.
If I don't, it does it's job and doesn't crash.
I have to treat my pc with the utter most respect 🤣
Shame I'm not like that with my notes. They get destroyed and become lost in the depths on my bag 🤣

I have a thing for things...
My heart can't stand throwing even small objects I have memories of...
It sometimes gets cluttered, but I always find a way. 🤣
Anyways, inanimate objects get my full respect.
I know people who have no problem giving away their stuff, or being it thrown away/damaged and whatnot...
But not me...

I even pet my piano when I play... .;;
As I have once said:
You can fuck my partner but you can't fuck with my stuff.
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

I love my teddies. I have nearly 200 and can name every one and state how I got it which was my Dad's test for which ones should be kept. He didn't get to give away a single one, tee hee.
I don't name anything else inanimate but I do love to collect things and I never throw anything away so I have a lot of respect for them, especially considering my collction is from around the world. I also love my posters so I get upset if they get damaged. Then of course I can't live without my phone or laptop so they get a lot of respect. The only other thing I treasure are certain jewellry items and my flute but I've never named anything but my teddies, not even my car.

I treat most of my stuff as it were alive.
