Hello, B-U Team!

I work with Transcendence and am in charge of releases, among other things.

Is it possible to let scanlation group members edit the "Groups Scanlating" section? This would be extremely helpful in preventing multiple groups working on the same project without realizing it until one makes its first release. There are just simply no tools out there to let scanlation groups communicate with each other when they are in the "pre-release" stage. It would save time, energy, frustration, and allow more series to be scanlated quicker.

Also, I've noticed that lists show the most recently released chapter in red beside the series name. Would it be possible to do the same thing but show how many days have elapsed since the last release (and wouldn't go away)? This would be helpful to me, at least, when determining how urgently different chapters need to be released.

Oh! And one other thing: It would be really cool if users could choose which version of a series' title shows up on their lists in case the default one is not what they are used to. It would make searching their lists much easier.

Thanks SO much for the work you do; it is appreciated more than you know!!

Groups Scanlating is generated automatically. We will not be letting users modify it.

Not to mention it'll be quite the task to define each user to each specific scanlation group.

You could just make a thread in the relevant series' forum.

I'm fairly sure this is already possible.

No problem, you can add a series under any of its associated names by entering the name you want into the "Add Series" box in the "My Lists" section. (If you just click the add to list link on the manga's info page, it will be added to the list under its main name.)

There will never be a way for groups' to claim series on this site.

If a thread is made for this purpose, it will be deleted.

I think you are misunderstanding what they are saying. As I understand it, the matter is about telling others: "Hey, don't waste resources on this title. We are doing it."

After seeing that kind of sentence most (sane) groups will drop the idea of doing this title because someone else will already do it and they won't need to waste resources on doing a title others are doing too.

Though even after seeing that kind of message and they decided that they still want to do it, then I see no reason for them to not start scanlating it. After all in the end we are all doing this for free so if we want do the same title cause of many reasons from shitty scanlation to just trolling the other group...well that's up to each group to decide.

I agree that no one should be allowed to claim a title...which is just wrong cuz the ones who can claim it is the author and the company releasing it. Though a little information about who may be working on a title may not hurt. There's still a trillion other's titles to pick from 😉
