I was just wondering who saw that Ninja Assassin movie and if it was worth seeing
Soooo...
I just came from seeing Ninja Assassin. It was everything I wanted in a Ninja movie and some. (except for the inexplicable lack of pizza and turtles)
Anyways, who is Rain? And how popular is he in Korea, Japan?
I figured he'd need to have a serious reputation as an artist for him to star in American movies... So how come I've never heard of him?

Hey now... >:-(
And to answer Calibre's question: Rain is widely known throughout Asia, he's really big in Korea. Serious reputation? Well he's only starred in two American movies from what I know...O_o
As for the movie itself...well the title is as much plot as you're going to get in this one. Though if you initially went to see the film for any kind of plot whatsoever (or some character development), you're delusional. O_O But I only went to see it for the action, which overall was great. it wasn't bad and it wasn't good, I really had no high expectations for it but was a bit surprised, so that must be a good thing.

Now I'm wondering how many women, and Love Doctors, saw the movie just to ogle at the guy.

The action is the only reason to see the movie. And the action was great in my opinion. I was on the edge of my seat after the first 5 min.

Rain's a big artist in Korea, but I don't know about anywhere else...
I think the reason that he's become so big is because of the whole Hallyu revolution. Recently, Korean artists are trying to break through the language barrier into the US. Sort of like Utada Hikaru's attempt but, I think, more successful.
^^ on that note, the Wonder Girls anyone?

I really want to see this movie, the action looks great!
And this is really sad but the only place I've ever heard of Rain is when Stephen Colbert made a korean music video imitating him on the Colbert Report... 🤣

If you're not into action, just wait for the DVD release or dl it somewhere. Yes, the action scenes were nice. Bloody and violent XD
But why were the ninjas running on the highway?! >< I thought they wanted to keep the whole ninja business thing a secret... (That made me laugh though... which was embarrassing, since I was the only one laughing at that part... but whatev, I can't help it >>)
