Mine was created at a moment of desperation ( I needed those manga scans bad! ). My mind was cluttered so I just picked out a random word from some corner of my mind. Later I found out that it rhymed to Google.
Too bad I can't change it now...

you can. If I'm not mistaken, you just need to request it to the admins 🙂

Sorry if this is a bit long...
I've been using this username in almost all of the online forums and communities I joined since 2004.
A friend of mine who's into drawing mangas and stuff introduced me to the concept of 'pen names'. Since I was an active writer that time in fanfiction.net, she advised me to change my username to something more appropriate (it was 'never_mind_me'... so explains the need for something appropriate). We thought of some names and the name 'Asessilly' popped into my head (ah randomness). It's a bit eccentric for Japanese but also sounds different in English so we sticked with it.
After a year of using 'Asessilly' in some of my online communities, I started getting accustomed to some people referring to me as 'Ase-chan'. It was suppose to be pronounced as 'ace'(eys), but since online forums are visual and rarely auditory, they pronounced 'ase' as how it's spelled. I thought that it would be better rather than people calling me 'As-chan' [which sounds like a butt] so I never complained.
In youtube.com, I also said that they can refer to me as Ase-chan but a friend of mine refused saying that 'ase' means sweat in Japanese. I thought he was just messing with me so I just ignored him.
Eight months ago, I took a crash course on writing an speaking Japanese. That's where I learned th sad truth that 'ase' really does mean sweat. T_T
Reviewing the name 'Asessilly', it's like the Japanese word 'ase' plus the English suffix '-ily' joined together to form the word 'sweatily'... sigh
Another sad thing is I used it too much that changing it would mean re-introducing myself over and over and OVER and OVER again to the communities I'm currently in so there's really no way around it I suppose.
Well, that's the history of my username...

How about instead of taking the first part (Ase) of your name, take the last part... That would make you Silly-chan... j/k 😛

Hmm... I think that's a nice suggestion XD j/k
I tried considering that but a friend said that people might not take me seriously so I'll just have to stick with the whole name with no nicknames...

Well 5 or 6 years ago when I was looking for a nick that I would stick to, I thought about using Usagi, mainly for 3 reasons:
-I was born in the year of the rabbit
-My mom's nickname to me is bunny
-I once ate to much carrot's in a month and turned orange . . . u.ú;
And Mitsukino, well I love the moon, and I remembered the old story about the rabbit and moon so I decided that It would be TsukiNo (of the moon) .. .
BUT it was already taken, and I didn't noticed till I googled it, by Sailor Moon T_T!!!!! So I changed it to Mitsukino (of the Full Moon), although with the characters It should be Mangetsu. . . But ohh well, xD im sticking to it!!!

My username is a character from a game called Shining Force Neo, which was a really awesome franchise until it went into a real time fighting style. I've been using the name Dryu for awhile now, and I have also fused it with a last name of a character to make a new super character, although I didn't add that to this username to avoid typing an additional 6 letters.

Thank God! I thought I was the oldest one here! At 29, I usually am. 😁
As for the gripping tale of how I came up with Ladycrystalite...
It's not that interesting really. I was trying to come up with a user name for a chat room or something when my eye caught the picture hanging above my comp (The Accolade by Edmund Blair Leighton) and thought Queen Crystal. Modified the crystal to Crystalite to make it sound cooler (yes, I am a geek) and eventually the Queen got demoted to Lady 'cause I liked the sound of Ladycrystalite better than Queencrystalite though I stuck with Queencrystalite for about three or four years.
Four Things You Didn't Know About Me:
- I've sung Barbershop.
- I think ice cream and coffee are the best food inventions ever.
- I write fanfiction.
- I'm paranoid of moths.
