hhm, well my first nick was "yal"
When i first needed a nickname it was for my battle.net account (Diablo II, looooong time ago), but all my favorites were already taken. So i just typed anything to be sure it's working this time => "yal". I still use that nick in IRC, cuz ppl know me under that nick for a long time (not @Highway 😛 )

Advantages: It's unique, short and never taken ^^, but after a while I thought it was too childish and didn't sound good~

I searched for other nicks and came across "Aeon" and other stuff, but they were not really original and often already taken.
At that time I played "browser games" which had to do with spaceships and Planet invasions and Star Trek DS 9 was airing @German TV
Dunno how exactly, but I chose a mix between Invasion and the USS Valiant, but misspelled the "valiant".(can't remember if on purpose or not). I also am a huge fan of Prince Valiant ;P, so that might had an influence as well.

For Multiplayer Games I often use "Morgoth" (if it's not already used), I guess you know why =P (LotR, evil, Master of Fate XD, saying "Don't mess with the master of fate" after you won 😎

I came up with the name lilchoconut when i first started playing gunbound.. some time ago... I think i saw a palm tree or something and i thought coconut.. but then i thought nahh, thats too short and added a lil, then i decided no, thats so... normal... and since 'coco' sounded like 'cocoa' i thought oh hey that's cool... but decided no i don't really like "cocoa" but i like chocolate so i decided to add an 'h' to make it choconut instead--representing my love for chocolate and my nuttiness =]

-though now, i deem it a little childish and.. well i'll think of something new along the way
