first of all im not familiar with manga rules but from what i understand if a mange is licensed (not sure what that means but i think its means translated and sold officially) all scan group should stop translating it to boost sales so why are those mangas still being translated
correct me if i misunderstood the rules 😕 😀

I'm guessing it's because Shueisha doesn't really care that much about their manga getting scanlated. There are people who read the scanlations and also by the manga volumes to support the industry, and I guess enough of them buy it for Shueisha to be happy.

Probably also has something to do with release speed. Scanlation groups release chapters for those series pretty damn quick, probably weeks or months ahead of the official translations.

Not all manga is dropped once it's licensed.

I guess because people like it so much that they want to get it out even faster than the licensing companies.

Pretty much this.

Just because it's licensed doesn't mean it's gonna get dropped, especially when people have put so much time into it already.

Long aGo that was the case... its still the case with serious groups. Thats not quite the case anymore, as with the growing of this kind of line of work unscrupulous people have gotten inside the scene and dont care anymore about the "ethics" lol ya as if scaning copywrited stuff was okay anyway. Well... what they told ya about sueisha not caring is true.
