In chapter 624, it's shown that Madara's brother is killed by the Senju. But I remember Itachi talking about how Madara took his brother's eyes to gain the Eternal Sharingan. How could he do that if his brother died before he had taken them? Was it all a fake story to feed Sasuke? Does this mean Madara never had an Eternal Mangekyo and was surviving thanks to the Mazo Statue?
And what did he mean in chapter 602 (page 19) when he told Obito that he entrusted his eyes to someone else? Did I miss a chapter explaining all this?

Well as far as i was able to read madara's had more tan one brother and... the one he got his eyes from was the youngest (it seems) he was still alive when uchiha and the senju made the Alliance u saw him in the manga frames and later too, remember u can get the eyes from a dead person too... BUT i believe they said way back that madara killed his brother to get his eyes out of greed not looking for revenge tho.

the 2nd hokage inflicted a mortal wound on Izuna Uchiha. Madara took his brother back to whereever and on his death bed he gave Madara his eyes. Itachi thought Madara took his brothers eyes by force so thats why it was shown that way when he used the genjutsu on Sasuke.

@aagcnet- I guess Itachi slyly twisted the truth to drive sasuke into a corner, yeah.

I was wondering if the long haired masked guy that Itachi and Kisame met was the same as the short haired Tobi. :/
