So we've all heard the phrase:

You learn something new everyday

So what is that "something new" you've learnt?

Be it related to school work, something you heard in the news, or something totally and utterly random.

Go ahead and say. Maybe we can learn something new as well 🤣

Never try to make a rope out of coconut shells. 😐

At least without any experience beforehand.

I did succeed, but I have all these little cuts on my fingers because the coconut kept slipping off. ;A;

I learned that schedules can come in handy during studying? >_> ;;

And not today, but yesterday! I learned a new function of Skype. o_o Apparently you can have group voice chats, wow. And you don't even need to talk to boot too. You can just be quiet, and type instead. o.o

I learned that Tough chapter 92 came out, and that when they say it's gonna snow, they mean it.

I learned how to pronounce the word Oedipus . Nobody around me used that word, so I always assumed it was "oh-eh-dee-pus."

Also~

  • Caffeine contains dopamine. @__@
  • Hand sanitizer dries your hands because of the level of alcohol.
  • In Cantonese, if you were to say prices, (for example, $2.75) it's "lerng mun, chut ho Boon," not "chut sup mm." (LOL, bear with me here and my strange romanization of Cantonese.) -o-

Seriously, I've been speaking Cantonese since I was born, and I can't believe I didn't know that! I even learned that I have a very peculiar Cantonese accent (co-worker pointed it out.) Well, my mother is multilingual, I'd obviously have an accent & mixed up some words/pronunciations. ;_;

I learned about the "tongue-eating parasite". Cymothoa exigua eats the host fish's tongue and then places itself there to eat the fish's food and live as the host's tongue.

I learned what "jailbreaking your iPod Touch" means.

It's basically hacking or opening the iPod Touch's software and installing an installer button that allows you to add other applications.

And recently, me and BaeSooky stumbled upon all these weird abbreviations, like; idgi, mte, s2s, ... 😐 Talk about being lazy! D:

idgi = i don't get it
mte = my thoughts exactly
s2s = sorry to say

There are LOADS of others too.

That the letter H is pronounced "eichi" i.e. ecchi in Japan~

Such a simple thing. It all makes sense now.
