Wow... that was probably the second cheapest thing this manga has pulled.
I am sick of clones, zombies, and other such stuff. So we went fron Ninja, to Wizards, to Demon possessed humans, to immortals, to Summoners, to Hoo Doo practicioners all having a raging battle, eh? Oh, and don't forget the fact that they are acknowledging that ninja can fly, which explains how they don't actually need to jump on the trees or the cliff walls, they just fly in the middle at low altitudes.

This chapter seemed wasted, and not worth the wait. ^_^

Well, the anime version was like ten billion times better
In fact, it is my favorite fight. Yes the 100,000 clone/zombie things are as funny as six hundred billion exploding seals but Kishi is just trying to put this war in modern terms (a whole lotta people).

Seems like Kishimoto is having fun with large numbers lately.

Well, OK: so on the one hand, the entire ninja world going to war against 4 guys plus Kabuto's zombies made no sense whatsoever. No matter how powerful Madara & co. are, 80,000 opposing ninja is still 80,000 opposing ninja. From that standpoint, it was necessary for Madara to have an equally large army waiting in reserve.

On the other hand, why clones? Why not mercenaries or loyal followers who agree with what Madara is trying to do? Using clones pretty much gets rid of any moral ambiguities when it comes to battle. The good guys can kill as many of them as they want without looking bad for it because they're clones and not real people. If the beginning of this manga hadn't spent a lot of time talking about the duty of a soldier and the pain of killing, I might've found the idea of clones to be less cheap. Guess I was foolishly hoping for something a little better here than war lite.

Setting that aside, whichever one of Kishimoto's assistants drew the floating island needs his own series. I was really impressed with all the fine detailing in the picture:

Clones huh? Idk what to say... thought the war was going to be the tailed-beasts vs allied ninja. Well at least the plot seems to be moving along at a steady pace. As for all the weird un-ninja-like powers, that's not anything new... There's been plenty of ridiculous powers before. So why not clones? It's going to be really messed up if Naruto starts fighting the clone army though...

I hate these kind of things. When a enemy is very strong they are killed very easily by the others. For example, the hokage was the strongest man to have lived but if they attack, many of the clones are going to die and the konaha people will scream "there are too many of them",

I guess I'm missing something... Ten-tails? I thought there were just nine o_O'' are they going to combine all the demons into one, or what?

@Hanae: Yup, that is exactly it. The tailed beasts were all originally one, and when the Sage of Six Paths was going to die, he split them into 9 tails and put the body of the 10th tail in the moon. The plan now is that the main baddies are trying to revive the 10 tails with Madara being the host, thus all powerful and Godly.. because.. you know.. they aren't already.
