To put it specifically, it's a hip-hop music video with an animated homage to video games (i.e. using sprites and cameos). The video also has a plot of the hero saving the girl. Even if you don't like hip-hop, like me, this video is still made beautifully. (You could mute the music and dub it with your own music, for example.)

My friend is the one who made the animation. Helping him spread the viewership. 🙂

I picked up either a Scott Pilgrim or Zelda reference with the upside down Triforce. Also, that was a great video to watch.

Yeah, someone else had a similar opinion to yours about it, in terms of Scott Pilgrim. I never saw that movie, but I get the Zelda reference just like you. (Of course, that was all done intentionally if you got those vibes.)
