Considering that he broke in and out of Impel Down, got himself in the war and the fact that he is now known for being the son of Dragon, I have no doubt that's why Chopper looks so shocked.

Anyway, it looks like the Strawhats are about to be reunited (even if it takes weeks before this happens).

But I'm glad to see Chopper and Usopp once again. 😀

Haki training time? Luffy needs to master that and soon too considering everyone's using it at this point...

Luffy's bounty definitely went up. I mean, Chopper is saying "again?!", so I really can't see it being anything other than a bounty increase.

But in other news... Did anyone else find this chapter hilarious? I mean, it was so funny watching Boa's reaction to everything. And it was really good of course, seeing two of the crew members and seeing the skinniest one become the fattest one (haha, Usopp).

WHoooooooooooooo, this chapter was so FKNG GOOOOOOOOOOOOOODD, about time to see the reaction of some of the crew after learning the whole mess luffy its in... i cant wait to see the reactions of the others, specially robin and nami since they are the only ones who were SAVED by luffy, the others just tagged along naturaly without much conflit involved compared to nami and robin, specially robin.

And i BET that after sanji reads the news he is going to come to his senses and throw away the dress, make up, and all the others stuff.

As for what the news says, its mostlikely one or more of this options:
1- Luffy's NEW head price, i bet at least they doubled it, so NEW PRICE >= 600.000.000
2-news about the whole mess luffy did in impeldown (almost destroyed it and mostlikely framed him for all the destruction that blackbeard did there)
3-Stuff about luffys participation in the war along that WB left everything else to him and that shanks showed up to save the day(i mean luffy =P)
4-that luffy its whereabouts are unknown and that the whole marine is searching for him for all the stuff he did.

next chap we can expect luffy's traning, and reactions of zoro,nami,robin or brook

Doubt that he changes just because of the news......the blow that will change him will be Hancock though just my opinion 😛 hes been okamamized to far for just news to change him like that it has to be woman related to change him and my best bet is Hancock, Robin and Nami will try and he almost changes and then Hancock comes and pewpew is my guess be free to comment

Can't wait to see the reunion and probably Luffy's Haki training (but i don't think there were even any training chapters in OP before) 😀
Just as expected from Oda, Luffy got over with Ace's death and got back on his feet with just a few chapters. Thats what i like a about this manga, you will never hate 1 single chapter.

after the look into the past, one piece is back in full swing

If the thing about Luffy in the newspaper does involve his bounty, something tells me that his new price is between 500 million and 1 billion, cause for Chopper to yell "Why again, Luffy?!" must mean that it spiked up tremendously.

If it's not about his bounty though, then it might be something where the WG falsely frames Luffy for something he didn't do, like killing people in the war.

ima say...he was captured by the marines.

by captured i mean gave himself in for execution, like roger. this, to me, sounds plausible since he'll be executed in his home town, which is a weaker sea comparing to the grand line. im guessing he's putting his faith into his crew to come and get him. i think that's the plan rayleigh talked about.

At first I thought maybe he was being framed for something. I'm not sure about giving himself up so that his crew will reunite and be able to find him easily(at the execution spot). That is way too dangerous though.. He wouldn't be executed in east blue.. Maybe in Marineford like Ace was, since Luffy being Dragons son makes him pretty important as well. I'd say Chopper's reaction is about Rayleigh's plan for reuniting more than likely.

Though maybe Chopper is jealous again cause Luffy's bounty keeps rising and his is still stuck at 50.

awesome chapter as always. Definitely a bounty increase, haki training now. Also possible getting married to Hancock as it would solve all his problems according to Rayleigh.

Don't forget that He did take down a shibaku (the shadow guy) but the WG desided to not make it public at the time since it would be bad publicity for them so that would go tot he bounty, then we ofc got the imperial down and his particitaion in ace's (failed) rescue nad since he have now assaulted all of the three points at the gate's of justice his bounty should go up a great deal.

bounty? what bounty?
after all he has done, and the fact he is dragon's son...... put a big X on the bounty, WG should go "we want the fucker alive or dead at any cost" xD

if he will be executed, it wont be in his hometown, he is way more important than ace's execution as he is dragon's son, while WB was a lord and strongest, dragon is the leader of the revolutionary army, which openly fight the WG and is trying to unbalance the world while WB and the others where living in a balanced situation.

its time for luffy to get stronger, or go through some serious shit which would make him grow up in strength as the usual style in this manga.
