hi, i'm looking for manga/manhua/manhwa or even anime that have truly butch, adult lead(s). preferably not oneshots, and ones that i can read in english. i am not really interested in consuming media about high schoolers. i've tried looking desperately before and have done a lot of searching on here, reddit, google, you name it. a lot of people online try to claim that asia just "doesn't have real butches, only tomboys" which just... cannot be true.

id just like something please. i have had a lot of struggles in my search. id just love some suggestions!! thank you!

defining butches in a non-western context is kinda difficult, so i hope these meet your criteria: have you tried embers and petals, women at work: love extraction, my princess charming (official en tl is accessed through the pocket comics app i think), or love thy neighbor?

the butch/butch stuff i've encountered is mostly oneshots. boyish is at least an anthology.

anyway, if you're interested, i can suggest more. what have you already read?

I gotta shout out Sora Haena!, and specifically the side stories - especially the one with Ah-Young & Jae-in. Other than that, one of the authors featured on the aforementioned Boyish - Natsuo Mutsumi - does amazing butch4butch works, including on her Bluesky. She is also very outspoken about her works being butch, which is such a breath of fresh air.

If anything else pops into my head, I shall return, cause dear god I love me some butches.
